i picked december 5th bc i LOVE christmas season and my mom raved about how beautiful fox hollow looked last year during christmas! i also wanted a saturday night and i didnt want it too far into december.

We started dating on 6.2.98, and I wanted to get married on 6.2 but it was THIS year, and we weren't able to get married this year, so we picked the first Saturday in June, it just happens to be my great grandmother's birthday, which I didn't know at the time, but love now that it's going to be another happy event on that day!!

I didnt want summer or winter, so it was between spring and fall, FH didnt want to wait until the fall of 09. I knew i wanted a sunday so I we decide on the sunday before easter because the week of easter I was going to be off from school and easier for OTT guest to travel because the kids are off that week.

FH is a teacher so we wanted summer... and then when we went to Swan Club they only had like 3 Fridays available. It couldn't be late June bc he still has school and it couldn't be too late in August bc he starts football camp, so we didn't have much of a choice!
But it worked out funny - his bday is 7/16, our dating annivesary is 8/16; our wedding anniversary will be 7/24, my bday is 8/24.
My brothers bday is 8/24 awww COMING UP!

December 5th was actually our last choice of the 6 or so we were looking at. Originally we were looking at 11/7, because we wanted it to be in Fall, and figured that it would be perfect weather around then, and also because our anniversary is 11/5. Our back up choices were 11/14, 10/24, and Columbus Day weekend. Columbus day weekend got thrown out because was all booked, and too expensive. Then it started looking like we couldn't afford any Saturdays, or we would have to settle for a place that we didn't love as much.
When we went to Villa Lombardi's, we were pretty much told we couldn't do a saturday night there at all, and we really were on the edge for a friday or sunday too. We just don't have enough people. But the gods smiled down on us with winter packages and minimums, and we got a great deal for December, and were going to do the 4th or 6th.
THEN the gods smiled even more, and we were able to get the minimum lowered for the Saturday night, and that's how we got our last choice date but first choice night! Plus now we get to keep the 5th as our anniversary date.

we wanted summer, and an evening wedding! we wanted it at Flowerfield and it was just TOOO expensive for a saturday night wedding, and the thursday night ... 4th of july weekend just literally fell into our hands

We originally wanted the Sunday of labor weekend but it was already booked. So we actually picked our date by default...It was not booked and it was during the time when FH's business is slow.
My date was chosen because my great grandparents whom had the most amazing marriage and love that I have EVER KNOWN were married on the same day in 1927....it was a way for me to honor them...

I barely thought about this for some reason when I picked June. You cannot possibly understand how much I sweat, and from where it comes!!! You're so good for taking that into account!!! Seriously, straight up I cannot wear t-shirts that are anything but black bc of pit stains, OR long sleeves that aren't black bc of pit stains. Terrible. Sweat pours from my cheekbones and nose. I'm gonna be holding tissues and hankies to my face/boobs/pits on my wedding day!!!!! Buuuuut I really wanted a spring/summer wedding, and as we all know it can be cold and rainy til kind of late in the season, and July and August are HOT. So I figured early June would be a good compromise. We knew we wanted a Friday night from the beginning-much less expensive than a Saturday. I'm a psycho and at that time I started looking at Farmer's Almanac and looking up rainfall and temperatures for weekends in June over the past 7 years. I know. I'm nuts. I'm not that nuts anymore, that was at the very beginning of the planning!! The first weekend in June historically has had warm temps and low rainfall, so I picked the first Friday in June 2009! PSYCHO!!!!!!!!! Now I don't really give a rat's asss if it rains, pours, or snows on June 5th as long as I get to marry my FH. And wear my awesome bow dress.

Originally I wanted a fall wedding but realized it would be really hard for my mom and the rest of my family who are all teachers since they'd be back in school, so we decided August would be a good month! Plus I love the summer too!

FH and I didnt want summer or winter. We really wanted a friday night and were really trying for Sept 18th. FH and I have the same birthday (June 18) and would have loved to get married on the 18th since its something we already share but went for the week after. We both loved the idea of Sept and I personally loved the color options we would have to work with

well i always wanted a april/may wedding or even june.... but since im a teacher we had to go with either july or august... we decided to go wtih 7/11 at first (since it was a year and a day since our engagment) but we finally decided to go with surf club and they only had Aug. dates left and we liked the look of 8.8.09 plus as the FH says '8+8=16' and 16 is his lucky number!

We wanted July 18, 09 but the church claimed that too many events go on in the summer...so we had to pick March or April and we thought March was too cold!

Thats the date woodbury had available..lol..as crazy as that sounds we werent picky i just wanted a summer wedding. My birthday is July so FH didnt want it near my bday.
