i went and tried on my gown yesterday and found that i was hot and even a lil sweaty under there..sorry if its tmi..is this normal?? i only had the dress on for 10 minutes tops..what do i do on the day of the wedding? also i wanted to put a hoop skirt underneath to give it a fuller look..is this going to make it worse?

u'll be hot but u'll look gorgous! (lol) My wedding was in december....i was worried about being freezing --- heeeeeck no! i was SO freakin' hot! lol my advice~> DONT WEAR PANTY HOSE! go for thigh highs....i got the ones from macys with the silicone gel around the top...totally comfortable and didn't budge. i forgot they were even on and it was MUCH cooler!

Gowns are so freakin' hot. I wore thigh highs too. Helped that area breathe and made it easier to go to the bathroom.

Also - maybe you were just a little nervous from being in your gown for the first time. Not that you'd be any less nervous on your actual wedding day, lol. But these suggestions sound right - thigh highs all the way, and maybe attach a fan to your garter belt!!!!

I agree about the pany hose- DON'T do it!! Also make sure you rub some baby powder between your legs to prevent chafing. It's totally normal to be hot in your wedding dress.

I was so hot and it didn't help that it was 90+ on my wedding day. I constantly fanned myself out! I didn't wear any panty hose either!!!! See below. . .

It's totally normal to feel hot...I did too. I was especially hot when trying gowns on and when getting my fittings - I think because my anxiety was at an all-time high and I was majorly overheating. I was much better the day of, but I got married in November and it was only in the mid 50s. I wore open toe shoes and NO pantyhose - I definitely recommend it!

You were probably hot because the bridal stores get hot under the lights they use to make the dresses shine. The AC is also not cranked! I was hot when I tried on my dress and I was fine the day of my wedding. I wouldn't use a hoop only because when you sit the whole dress could go up in the air. I would use a fuller slip.
ETA: I also wore thigh highs from Victoria's secret. They helped keep my legs from sticking together and kept the temp down. Plus, they stayed put all day.

its gonna be hot, i tried my dress on in the house & was sweating up a storm...i can only imagine what Aug 24th is gonna feel like
