Ladies - I need info. **UPDATE**

Please. I found out I was pregnant on 8/25. Calculating by my last period (mid-July) the dr estimated me @ 6 weeks at that time which would have made me 8.5 this week. Just went for my first sono and all there is is a gestational sac which would either make me 5 weeks pregnant or I don't have a viable pregnancy. DH and I didn't actually start BD until the 2nd week of August which would make the 5 weeks accurate. The dr. feels it's a viable prenancy because I've had 3 blood tests since I found out and my HCG levels keep rising. I'm just worried...Anyone have any info????
Update: I went for my 2nd sono today. The sac has grown, and my hcg levels are up, but there is no heartbeat. The dr. has estimated my sac @ 5.8 weeks and is not optimistic this will be a viable pregnancy although he is not giving up hope yet. He is sending me for another beta test tomorrow AM and if the #'s are still rising then I go for another sono in 1 week. My ? for you is.... how far along were you when it became more than a sac and you saw the heartbeat??![]()

Heartbeats can usually be seen around 6-7 weeks.... It may be a little too early right now...

got my bloodwork back and it tripled from last week - they're now@ 13,522. I go back for another sono on Mon 10/4. I'm so confused! I want to be hopeful, but it's hard when the doctors not. ![]()

Is the doctor saying this is a negative thing?? From what I understood, when the levels increase it is a good sign?
ETA - I know its hard to stay calm about this, but you really have to try. Probably its too early right now to see anything... From what I hear, you cant believe the difference in development over a week... One week its just a sac, the next there is heart beat, and the next the baby is moving around!

Thanks for the encouraging words - yes, technically the hcg levels doubling ARE a good thing, but I could have a chemical pregnancy, blighted ovum, where my body is just giving off the good hcg levels, but the baby never developed. The dr. said there is a SLIM chance that maybe my egg just dropped really late and I'm only 5.5 weeks or so but he said he'd rather me think it's not going to work out because the chance is so small. It's really hard to hear but I pray everyday I'm that 1 percentile out there and that he's wrong. I promise to keep you updated.
