last name question?

I'm also really looking forward to taking my FI's last name. Granted, when I invisioned taking my husband's last name, I was not invisioning a 5-syllable really Italian sounding name -- And go figure, my FI is only 1/4 Italian and has red hair, blue eyes, and even some freckles.

But I really want to have his last name b/c it's important to me.

That said, if your last name is really important to you, you should keep it. It's a very personal choice and I don't think there's anything wrong with keeping your last name!

My big thing is why do we have to be Mr. & Mrs. Future Husband. Why can't it be Mr. & Mrs. Future Wife. You know what I mean. He has no connection to his last name. It isn't even his family's real name. My family name isn't what it truly is but that's because it was shortened at Ellis island when my family came over. His family just didn't want a name that can be linked to a religion. He won't take mine for fear of being ridiculed. I just think it stinks that in this day and age the woman is still expected to take the mans name. I think each couple should able to pick which name to take without the man feeling emasculated.
ETA: I am not as upset about this as it sounds but it is something that bothers me. Just have been thinking about it alot as the wedding gets closer. Plus I really don't feel like doing the site design I have in front of me

My FH said he would take my last name cause he likes it better, and doens't really like his...but I know that it would make his parents feel like I didn't want his last name...and I feel it is more traditional, so I am taking his....

although i am fond of my last name as well...
