Was probably one of the WORST nights of my life. Of our the 16 people who were SUPPOSED to show only 12 did. I only ordered 14 tickets to the dinner show we went to and lost out on 2 tickets (non refundable- especially since 2 of the 4 people only gave me about 20 mins notice that they BOTH weren't coming (b/c they were 'fighting' - they're boyfriend and girlfriend). So we lost out on $102 that I'm hoping they're going to pay for (which as of now she's only paying for HER share even though she begged me to let him come too). Then my FBIL got SO DRUNK that he went ballistic in the car on the way home and got out on Woodhaven Blvd. (we live in QUeens but he's from LI) and we couldn't find him until he showed up on our doorstep at 7am this morning. It was really awful and my FI and I are having an awful day today b/c of everything last night. Plus, FBIL is our BM and now we don't know if he should be anymore. UGH- had to vent.
Thanks for the info... I am sure that your FBIL will not pull that crap at your wedding...
You FILs should stay out of this. I would not start 'you cannot be in our BP' now as it will just cause you TONS of headaches as the wedding approaches. But this would be the last time I invited him anywhere for a very long time.
The ONLY reason my FIL's are getting involved are b/c HE involved them. He called them every 1/2 hour after he sobered up trying to find our house (my FI cut off all means of communication b/c he was so annoyed so he turned off all phones/answering machine's/pagers/cell phones, etc... (without my knowledge.) And he lives under their roof and they believe that he has a serious problem and want to help him get help.
