I'm from the 5 towns and although I have never been there, my parents have and have always loved engagements there. I would definitely check it out!!

Re: Lawrence Country Club

We went to see it because FH's dad has connections there - the outside is gorgeous - but I didn't like the inside - too old-man 'clubby' looking. THe space inside, if it rained, for cocktail hour was also really small. Also, for the 'connections' that FH's dad had - it was still pretty expensive.
Also - a consideration - if you are getting married there - as you know - right in JFK's flight path!!!

Re: Lawrence Country Club

My sister had her wedding reception there. It was beautiful. The indoor coktail hour was a bit cramped, but the ballroom was large. The food was great. I always remember our drinks being replenished when we got back to the table. I don't remember any planes overhead.

Re: Lawrence Country Club

i am actually having my wedding there 10/1/05. i love it there. i actually am renting out 2 rooms for cocktail hour because i noticed that the room they show is a bit small as well.
the restuarant area (with all the huge windows overlooking the golf course) is what i am renting out.
i have been there plenty of times for lunch and never heard a plane. but i would suggest anyone looking into the club to look into renting the restuarant as well.

Re: Lawrence Country Club

Can anyone tell me where the Lawrence Country Club is exactly? Do they have a website?
