With Lent starting tomorrow, has anyone thought of what they are sacrificing for 40 days? I think it may be something like complaining about my MIL or something that I don't need to do, but makes me feel better.

Re: Lenten Sacrifices
I'm giving up charging things. I will have to pay cash or leave it! Then I won't be able to take advantage of some of Macys sales, but oh well I don't need anything either! Maybe I won't shop so much, I'll probably go home and EAT instead

Re: Lenten Sacrifices
I'm giving up 'over-spending' and I'm not going to give the people in my life who create stress for me any more thought (it takes too much energy)

Re: Lenten Sacrifices
I have not decided yet...and i know i have to today..however i have a funny story. One of the woman in my department has been a widow for many years and we are going to get our ashes today and i said what are you giving up for lent...and she gets all quiet for a bit....and then goes probably what i have done for the past 15 years or so....sex......
I could not stop laughing....she was like i gave that up when my husband died and i figure god thinks that is good enough during lent.
