I know the Charity Boards dont get NEARLY as many views or posts as this board, so I'll post a link to my suggestion......

Help a Charity - ALL OF US TOGETHER ! =)

I'm going to check at work and find out about some of the local organizations that we deal with and see what kind of help they need.

If I may, I think we should make this something that we (or those of us who wish to) do on a regular basis. Maybe once a month? I think it's great to do something special for people around the holidays, but I think that's when most people contribute to charities and volunteer their time. The rest of the year goes by, and sometimes our charitable side gets forgotten. What do you guys think?

Jann, I totally agree about doing something like this regularly.
longisland.com (sorry to 'plug' another website Ron ) but longisland.com has a whole list of companies that are ALWAYS looking for volunteers year round.

So are we still doing something on our own, in addition to Ron's event?

I am sure I will be.

Next July my FH & I are running a motorcycle event to benefit a charity. Yet to be determined but I am eyeing 'have a heart' or a long island breast cancer organization.

(and as if planning a wedding wasn't stressfull, the event will be July 2004,,,I made FH pick a date well before wedding )
