i saw something like this on a different board and i thought with the kind of humor we have on here sometimes, you ladies would be great at this.

i'll start it off:

'honey, i invited my ex-wife to the wedding because i knew she would love to see the kids in the wedding'

I'd like to thank my parents for contibuting their time and money to make this wedding possible. I'd like to acknowledge my now in-laws (dear g-d, help me) for providing us with nothing but aggravation through this entire process. Perhaps you can contribute to our children's weddings since you didn't contribute to ours.

True story: I went to a wedding where the father-of-the-bride got up to make a speech. In it, he compared marriage to leasing a car...you can always trade it in when it doesn't work in a few years.

My mother keeps telling me that it's okay to go all out for your first wedding. She's been married 3 times so I guess the bitterness is coming through.
