My mother in regards to the shower:
I think I will not invite some people to the shower because I don't want them giving you a gift since they really can't afford to.

Oh my... some people were TOO generous at the engagement party so I will tell them NOT to bring a gift to the shower since they already gave you too much and I wouldn't want to see them waste anymore money.

I spoke to X groomsmen and He will ONLY walk with me - so you have to make sure he ONLY walks with me - and no one else.
me - I have an uneven amount of BM's so one GM will have to walk with two people - and I am not figuring it out until the day of the rehearsal when we see what looks best -
'Well I am NOT trying to tell you how to walk but we will ONLY walk together find another guy to walk to girls.

duh idiot, we are both catholic and go to mass every week, of course we want a full blown mass. To us it is the most important part of the day.

about only having 2 MOH's and no bm's -

from people at work when I found my dream gown(this is sooo rude !!!!)
They ask me to describe it, I do and they say, oh it sounds beautiful. I say, yes it is and then they ask me how much it costs !!! When I tell them that they are like
'I would never pay that much for a dress that I am only wearing one day !!!' Oh well, it is not like I am asking you to pay for it !!

Finally, from a recent girl who got engaged and whose budget is drastically lower than mine says to me about my reception hall, yeah that place is nice but we were thinking more along the lines of Harrison House. I might add that they want 200 people. Um, then your reception alone is her entire budget. I didn't say anything. I was just in awe !!!!

My stepmother when I mentioned the 2 kids: she assumed they were my stepbrothers 2 kids (both under the age of 10 & very wild and to top it off I have only seen them like 3 times EVER and they don't even know who the hell I am). When I told her my niece & my cousin (FG's but wasn't sure at the time) she then said oh X & X aren't being invited? After telling her no she emailed me the next day asking me to reconsider inviting them. What part of NO did she not understand?

From FH ex-friend from Florida who was going to be BM:

I am getting my tux here & carrying it up on the plane with me.(NOT)

I'm not even sure of if I can come.

My girlfriend is flying in on Friday night (night of RD) and is not renting a car because she doesn't know the roads there.(neither was he because he can't drive a regular car, needs a special equpped car) (HELLO, that is what a D$%N map is for!) So FH was going to be expected to chauffer him & his GF everywhere the night before, day of & day after wedding? NOT!!!

Would it be ok if girlfriend brings her 2 kids (I think they were 3&5) because she doesn't know if her ex-husband will have them (TOUGH)

He was going to fly in on Wednesday & stay at our house for 3 day! NOT!!!!!!! (were we supposed to play host & hostess to him & get ready for wedding & HM?)

and a message he left on DH's answering machine 'Since your smuck girlfriend doesn't want to accomodate me..blah, blah, blah, blah, blah......' (isn't it supposed to be that the BM accomodates the Groom?)

My father is deceased and people always ask me who is walking me down the aisle. When I say I am, I have had several people say,
'well can't you find somebody???'

My response: I didn't know it was a requirement to have someone walk you down the aisle and no, I cannot 'find' somebody else b/c I would not ask anyone else to do that honor.

1.) Why didn't you invite my ex-husband to the wedding? (from my cousin and by all means takes the cake over everyones)

3.) Are kids invited? (if your damn kid was invited his/her name would have been on the invitation)

4.) OMG You are not doing church programs?

5.) You used the wrong stamp on the inner envelope.. (this from a girl who had her first boyfriend at the age of 26)

Me and FH went to look at photograhpers .. the lady was showing us samples of there work.. I wasnt too impressed.. guess she could tell.. she asked what was wrong and I answered well I prefer more of a photojournalistic style.. she said GET THIS - Well if you want pictures of the backs of peoples heads then thats your choice!
