Just a reminder to you guys--start collecting liability insurance certificates for all of your vendors that stay at your RH throughout the reception (Band, DJ, DOC, Photobooth, Photographer, Videographer, etc.)
Our RH discards certificates from vendors after the event is over, so don't assume that they have it on file.

Most of my vendors knew to fax them over to the RH. The ones who did not, my banquet manager contacted. I didn't have to do a thing. If you're not sure, call and ask your BM if you need to do this.

It's just insurance to cover your RH meaning if something happens to one of your vendors, they are not at fault. I'm OCD & super organized with my contracts & paperwork, so I have collected the insurance myself so I have copies as well and am giving it to my BM at our menu selection meeting. Just in case your vendors are not aware that they need to fax such info over, I would suggest reminding them/asking them yourself so you know your RH has the info.

I didn't know I had to do this. Thanks for the heads up. Hopefully my RH will tell me from which vendor they need it from.

im assuming all my vendors did too, i just had my final meeting at my RH today and they didn't mention anything to me about that

Hmm my BM hasn't mentioned anything about this, I guess I will check with her to make sure there is nothing I need to do. It's making me a little nervous I hope everything is taken care of with only 3 weeks to go!

I notice this in our contract. Thanks for the reminder. I think this is mainly for the vendors that we may use that are not their recommended ones.

Yeah, that's how we noticed it as well! haha we went back and read all of our contracts last weekend so we could schedule final meetings with our vendors, etc. My BM had said that they didn't save past vendor certificates after the event is over as I do believe they need to be updated every year. That might be different for house vendors... but I figured it's just something to be aware of! Glad I could be of help to you!
