Lillettes....can't stop crying (UPDATE)

I couldn't wait to get to my sister's house today so that I could see the bridesmaid dress that she just picked up....as soon as I saw it I burst into tears...not because i was happy but because they dress was not the color i had chosen. You see I originally wanted to have an all white wedding but i allowed my bridal party to talk me out of it....I'm not really one for colors so I loved the idea and elegance of all white....so anyway....they next lightest color was a very pale pink...almost like a silvery white with a tinge of pink. The dress however, is bubble gum pink and I absoulutely hate it and Lillettes will do nothig about it. I asked them if it was their policy to let brides leave unhappy and they really could care less. So here I am now with dresses that i absolutely hate. And what is making me the most upset is that I let others talk me into something else when I should have just went with my first idea. So here I am 5 weeks before the wedding.....very very sad....depressed and unhappy. And Lillettes has noot heard the last from me

I am so sorry. I can't imagine bing confused between a silver - rum pink & bubble gum pink.

Did you talk to the owner at Lillettes? maybe going above the sales persosn's head may help.

aww that $uck$! if its not what you ordered then they don't have a leg to stand on.... threaten them with the BBB!!! thats not right!

I am so sorry to hear this. They can't do nothing??? What about if they don't take back the dresses trying to sell them at e bay and maybe going to estelle's to get your dress???? Although you should not having to be doing this. IF it is not the color you ordered.

I actually spoke to the sales manager who said there is nothing they can do...because die lots vary and it isn't their fault. So now instead of a wedding I'll have a super fancy sweet sixteen

Absolutely speak to the owner. It's not what you ordered. Talk to them with a room full of people, and you'll see how quick they'll help you.

You'll get it fixed. Don't Cry!

Aw Dani, trust that you'll be able to work something out. Call the manufacturer as soon as you can and see what they can do for you. Make a nuisance of yourself until someone listens and helps you.

I see no reason for you to be stuck w/Bubble gum pink dresses, and don't let it ruin the hopes of a wonderful day.
Try your best to stay focused, and do all in your power to make yourself happy, even if you end up getting white dresses off the rack at Bloomingdales. I'm serious, take charge and don't let this get you down. I kow how upset you must be.
Ten days before my wedding, there was a threat of us not getting the right tuxes. I was soooo upset, I couldn't work or anything.
But it all worked out, as it will for you.

Did you talk to the owner? Did you check the receipts and the swatch number?
If it doesn't match to the color of the dress than they should NOT be holding you or the girls liable for that. Also check the description of the color on the receipt. Who helped the ladies-Gerri or someone else?
I am EXTREMELY dissapointed in Lillettes. I ordered my gown there. This obviously an error on their part. Why on earth would YOU say I want a bubble gum pink when you know what that color looks like? Also call the manufacturer and find out what the order was placed as. Who ever put the order in could have made a mistake.
I would also recommend going back in Lillettes and causing a scene. I am serious. B/C if I were you and saw that color I would have gone to Lillettes immiedately and screamed up a storm!! Go in on Saturday. You know the place is packed then! I am sure once they see the Bridezilla come out of you and in front of everyone, they will do as you ask!

go back down there and demand they fix it!! do you have a swatch of the color that you ordered??? dye lots definitely vary - but not from silvery pink all the way to bubble-gum pink!!!!! that's crazy!!

hang in there - i'm sure it will get fixed!! not sure of the style of the dress, but maybe get shawls or something to go over???

GO DOWN THERE - OVer the phone does nothing! GO ON A SATURDAY AND START SCREAMING! They won't want all that said in front of other people so just be loud - you have every right!!!!! That's absurd!

Um, that they are not responsible for dye variations is b/s.

1- the dye used for bright pink is NOT the same saturation, hue, or base as one for a silvery rum pink.

2- they should then offer to send a swatch of the dyed material for your approval, if they know this can happen. (BTW does it say this in your contract?)

3- they should have a fallout- they can offer you another option in the event that the dyed color is so far off from what you ordered that it is unacceptable to you.

1) Call the owner-- DO NOT SPEAK TO THE MANAGER!! This is now beyond a manager. Tell the owner you want the dresses in the color they showed you PERIOD!

2) Call the manufacturer!!! Tell them what is going on-- They HATE hearing from PISSED OFF BRIDES!!-- This I know first hand!

3) Call another store that carries these dress -- tell them the original color ask them if they have ever received it from the company and what did they color look like! If they tell you Bubble gum pink then call be the manuf. and yell about the swatches matching!!

I see an episode of Judge Judy coming..If you have to go buy new dresses, than I would definitly hit them with a lawsuit to pay for the dresses they screwed up. You should not be responsible for thier mistake. I agree with what someone else said, you should go in there on Saturday and start screaming! I am sure they will do something about it then! You have to get on top of this ASAP, do not let a day slip by....
What is the color you signed for on your contract, and Did you see the Correct color swatch from the Sam manfacture you bought your dress from, because all manf. name colors differently.
Who is the mfg. and what was the name of the color on you contract.
Dye lots do not vary to that degree!!!!
But, Make sure they showed you the correct color swatch book.
example jim helm colors are differnt then B2, or
Mori lee.......So a pink could be different with differnet manf.

Hi girls....I did go down there today and did cause a scene in front of other people...they didn't seem to really care....even after my mom told them she woulfd call fox five problem solvers on them.....all they said was there is nothing we can do about it....the die lot varies....plus that pink I chose is the only pink color they have in that dress...so I know they didn't put in the wrong order...the die lot just varied ALOT.

Hi girls...the dress is by Bill Levkoff. The style number is 904. The color I chose is Euro Pink. If you go to his website you can find it and view it in that color to see how it should look. I tried to copy the pi but the site wouldn't let me.

Its a beautiful dress and the pink is sooo light. maybe its the coral color ( I searched through on different dresses and it looks like a bright pink/orange). Speak to the owner!!! GOOD LUCK!
