So I have been talking to friends who've gotten married recently and they keep saying it's all the little extra things they did that made the wedding so memorable. Is anyone doing anything extra for their wedding??

They are little (but expensive)things but I think they make a big difference- uplighting definitely, menus, custom table numbers, and programs for the church.

still fighting with FH about the photobooth but thats always my fave part of weddings that have them.
also celebrating FHs birthday at the wedding (hopefully) with sparky from the islanders bringing him a birthday cake lol

I think its really the personal touches that people remember, menus, table numbers, incorporating things that are special to you and FH, or special to your families. People really do notice that kind of stuff!

I plan on doing my own table numbers with pictures of me and FH doing scenes from movies or something like that. Also I plan on putting those edible orchids that blossom in champagne. At least I think they are orchids.

those are also the things that cost so much....I think you as the bride might remember them but your guests will not...

i agree, i think it is the little things that make your wedding memorable.
it doesn't have to be expensive...i am doing menus, programs, escort cards (they will all be matching). plus it will be cheap because i am doing them myself. i am also having the personalized beverage napkins from theknot.
also the bathroom basket is a good idea. it should not be more then $60. you can get the items at the dollar store and the baskets at michael's.
the flip flop basket is a bit more expensive. i won't be doing this. i think the guests can worry about their own feet (hope that doesn't sound mean)
the best for last....i recently saw a post about the bride and groom toilet paper. it is so cuteeeeeeeeeeee. i will definitely be ordering a few.

That's a great idea, my MOH is going to make my table numbers with pics of me and my FH and the numbers in frames..affordable and great keepsakes!

We had several of those 'little extras.' They all added up, but if I did it all over again, I wouldn't change a thing.

The table numbers/ages is such a good idea! My venue provides a lot (the baskets for the bathroom, the personalized menus, table cards) and I'm thinking about doing personalized matchbooks and possibly cigars with our names on the bags. Thanks for all the ideas!

I've been telling this to FH and he says no one will notice those things....He says 'I can't remember any little things at weddings i went to in the past'

I'm doing this.... it took me forever to find the three slot picture frames, but i found them for $2.50 at Walmart!!! I highly suggest grabbing them soon. I had to go to five walmarts to collect all 16. If you want more info let me know....

Our most expensive extra is the uplighting, but I knew it was a must have for me! Blame David Tutera's My Fair Wedding since he uses it it every time. haha
It was either that or photobooth, and since we paid a lot of money for the band, we decided the photobooth might take away from that.
We are also making our own place cards and table names. The place cards are going to be Disney Fast Pass replicas (see my ideas album) and the table names will be disney rides with pics of us at each ride!
I think I am also going to have waterbottles as an extra for guests as they leave. Instead of personalized, I am going to put lace on the bottles (idea from sparkleandhay.com).
There will probably be more personal touches I will come up with!

cigar rollers, seating chart, customized matches, channa plaque, uplighting, 4 plasma screens, treats on each place setting, color books for the small kids..i want to do a photobooth but i dont want to take away from the dancing so im not sure yet
