My FH and I are just getting ideas as to where we want to live...
we are so open minded about where we go...City...farm....it doesn't matter.......we just haven't pin pointed a STATE.......
I'm going to be a teacher so thats no problem....
He's going to be a fireman so which ever states starts hiring first thats where we might go....
But if you have ever been to any of these states please let me know what you thought of them and please if you have any suggestions or know names of towns i would greatly appreciate it..... Thank you

Why not North Carolina?
Ok than my vote is for NC! I am hoping to move there next! (For FH job). My sister lives in Cornelius too and rents a 3 bedroom apt on lake norman for $800/month. She also just bought a brand new home in mooresville....2700 square feet...fully upgraded....$220,000!
Only downfall....salary is low! But cheaper cost of living! But just be prepared for a salary cut...its a hard adjustment...teachers don't make nearly what they do here!

FH's family all moved to Cornelius, North Carolina and it's great there. Houses are very cheap---under $200,000 will get u a beautiful home!

FH's sister moved to North Carolina and loves it. I definately would love to move there. I would like to stay closer to a big city so I was looking around Raleigh. Realtor.com is a great website to check out just to get ideas of what homes cost in the areas you are looking at. I've seen gorgeous homes in that area for under 175,000

omg the book i'm reading is based in Raleigh!
Anyway, i voted Massachusetts just b/c I couldn't live too far from a major city.....(that is similar to NYC)

I understand there is much growth for NC right now and the houses are in a good price range.
One of my dear freinds just left Ft Salonga to go to NC and she tripled her home size

North Carolina is nice and probably on the less expensive side. Maryland has a lot of nice areas as well and is less expensive than NY.
I sway more towards MA b/c I used to live in Boston. I love it up there, but it's probably almost as expensive as NY, but not AS bad! Good towns up there are Newton, Quincy and that's all I can think of right now!
