Hi girls ... am getting a bit discouraged in my DJ search, in that a lot of the guys I've looked at seem cheesy/overbearing. DId anyone have a DJ that did not turn the wedding into a 1-man show but still kept the party and dancing going at a good pace?

my FH is a DJ who does not MC. I do any bridal announcements etc etc... but mostly its just GOOD MUSIC. FM me if youre interested.

We are using FM entertainment. We went to one of their showcases and I def. did not get a cheesy feel from Frank.

My DJ is amazing!!!
DJ Gaza....Gary Hoffman. He does nothing but spin music & MC. No light shows, no photo montage, no wacky giveaways... He's incredible!!!
He even gave us a list of 30 people to email about the way he works & almost everyone answered.
I recently put all the answers in a huge doc - FM me if you would like to see it!!!!

Elegancia Entertainment. they were AWESOME. that was one of the first things that the owner told us 'we're not into hearing our own voices, we are about the music...period'

we went with a DJ/MC from Double G.... we told our MC beforehand that we wanted him to remain in the background!
we asked him not to call attention to us really... and just to make the annoucements.... he was fantastic!

We used 'Spin Around Sound' and were happy with Tom, the owner. Another good candidate is Music by Michael.

I agree with MJDOC. Elegancia is great and doesn't overtake the party. They are there for you t have a great time. I defintely recommend Elegancia 110%.
