eastwindcaterers.com
This was where we had our reception, in the Country Gardens, it's a little on the country feel side, but one wedding at a time, very reasonable (we got our plates ( we used their premier dinner menu and paid $70 pp after tax & tips!! so we only spent about $8,400 total for reception) room was VERY comfortable with 120 people, the food is outrageous!!

Re: low key reception place ?

In addition to the suggestions so far - Definitely check out John Anthony's on the Water. It's in Babylon and, as you may have figured, right on the water!

Their menu is amazing for the price. ($65 for April 2003 wedding) They gave us extra stations at the cocktail hour and they gave us a room at the Garden City hotel as well for the wedding night.

They have been a pleasure to deal with thus far. I've yet to hear a negative comment about them on this site.

Good luck! Any questions let me know.

Re: low key reception place ?

I went to a wedding at a restaurant called La Pace in Glen Cove. The food was unbelievable. It should be able to accomodate that many people. They also have a dance floor. Its a four star restaurant.
