Hola! This weekend I met with Defining Moments (michelle) and had a makeup trial. I am thinking of a DOC and she also does makeup. I really liked what she did. I wanted something VERY natural since I don't wear makeup. The only change is that I would have less of the darker shadow (request from FH). I already would recommend Michelle - very sweet and I felt like I wasn't wearing any makeup at all! The stuff she uses is fantastic!
So, I took pics throughout the night and I have them here in order...It really lasted and I liked the makeup in natural light and inside light!

I wouldn't listen to FH on the eyeshadow thing (what do guys know anyway?), I think it looks great exactly as is, and I find that in wedding pics, you're under a flash and the light from the video camera, you need that extra definition, or else you can look washed out. I think it looks great as is!
I know from acting that I'd put on a TON of makeup, I mean I looked like a CLOWN, but then under the stage lights it looked like I was abrely wearing makeup..so you have to consider the lighting and everything on your wedding day.
Just something to think about. Or maybe you can get the same kind of look but with a shade you're more comfortable with..but personally I think the ocntrast looks great!

Looked beautiful! I understand that Frank didn't like the darker shadow but I think you need it for the defination! It really makes your eyes stand out! The shadow is not overpowering at all! I believe it will really look amazing in your pictures...
Everything else is so natural looking & really looks like you...You won't have to worry about the makeup wearing off considering it was still good at 11PM! Just remember that wedding day you will be sweating more & dancing, so it might fade a little...

I agree about the eyeshadow...I don't wear makeup much either, but I think you need a little punch in the pics....it doesn't look very dark at all.
you look great....and to me, the feel on the makeup on my face is just as important as how it looks since I am not really accustomed to it.
Do you know what brand of m/u she uses?

You're absolutely right, it does look really natural! But you look great even without the make-up!! And I don't think your eyes are too dark, they were fine as is. Congrats on having such a good experience!!!

Thank you! I was also an actress in high school---it was CAKED on! Hahah...
I love how it turned out in pics. But my FH is a strong-willed person and WILL tell me at the altar that it looks too much. SMOOCHES! hahahah--- can you imagine??!!! Hahhaa...

Smashbox...it is actually for a photo finish. It was so light and had just a touch of luminating qualities! I really liked it.
Seriously want to run right out and get it...that good and I don't wear makeup!

The one thing with going with Michelle as DOC and makeup...is that she can totally do touchups all night long. So I was even thinking I could have her 'punch' it up at the reception.
That is...if FH will 'allow' me to have a DOC

You look gorgeous!!! I would stick with teh darker shadow like all the girls said - it will be beautiful in the photos!! Is it airbrush or regular powder? It really looks fabulous!!! congrats!!!!

Lesse...this is EXACTLY why you don't let your FH see your makeup trials!
ETA: trust me at the altar, FH won't be worried about your makeup, he'll be so thrilled about the whole package. How could anyone even think of makeup at an exciting moment like that?

I don't think the eyeshadow is too much, it looks beautiful. My FH would tell me the same thing, but its totally out of context when its not wedding day and you are not all dressed up in your wedding stuff.

You should ahve just told him 'Ok honey' and then done what you wanted anyway. Seriously, he wasn't going to notice. in al of the glitz and glamour of your gown and the aprkle of your wedding day the makeup will fit right in.
