Manor East Thread

Since there are threads for alot of the halls, I thought that since there are quite a few of us that I would start this thread.

When are you getting married?
What room/rooms do you have?
What menu do you have?
Have you added any of the extras?

Let's share some of our ideas of different things that we are doing too.

I am getting married on Saturday Sept 18th. I have the Club Room for pre-cocktail hour, L'Cortile for cocktail hour and the Grand Ballroom for the reception. My menu is the Versailles Menu with the pre-cocktail hour, 1/2 dozen roses on each table, full viennese hour and filet mignon and pork chop entrees for extras.

I am doing alot of different things (to many to list ).

I am a ME bride too!! So glad you guys started this thread. I am gettting married April 2006, I booked early because I live in FL so its hard to get around to see vendors. I flew up for the original showcase last year but there was a huge snowstorm so it was cancelled. I was so upset. But we always knew that was the place we wanted.

I am using the Majestic room for the cocktail hour and the Tiffany room for the reception. We got the Victoria menu and we added some extras to it. We are also doing our ceremony there. I was very excited to find such a great place for such a reasonable price. What type of centerpieces are you using for the oval tables? I was thinking of something low to the table with petals and votives.

I am using the upgrade of a 1/2 dozen roses and the two long stem candles.

That centerpiece is really nice, I love the purple flowers. Have you received a quote on it yet from anyone?

I was wondering if any of you had concerns that ME doesn't have an elevator, I thought it was kind of odd. I guess b/c its an old building.

pretty centerpiece!....

one of the djs i talked to told me something about... since thers no elevator they have to lug the equipment up the stairs... more work for them... they wanted to charge more, i didnt book with them!

This is great.....

I'm having my cocktail hour in the L'Cortile and my reception in the Tiffany Ballroom...I am not doing a sit-down menu...I'm doing a buffet dinner, but my FH was able to bargain in an extra pasta station and carving station...plus the chair covers, plus we got the 1/2 dozen roses, and then again were able to bargain in the viennese...thank goodness my FH is so good at making deals....

WE had a food tasting with Anthony and the food was incredible!!!!!!

I was concerned a little about the no elevator's b/c FIs grandfather may have some trouble, but I am sure everything will work out

I think there is an elevator in the L'Cortille room going to the Tiffany Ballroom, although I guess I could be wrong....isn't it illegal not to have an elevator?

I was a little concerned for my grandmother too but then when I went to go see the ME, I saw the electric chair that goes from the L'Cortile to the Grand Ballroom.

I dont think their is...

As for it being illegal, I am not sure..maybe after a certain year. ME has been around for over 30 years
