Marisa

Went to look at gowns today; saw one I liked a lot by Marisa for $2400 (Bridal Reflections). Is this a lot for Marisa? Also, anyone ever been to RK Bridal or Wedding Salon of Manhasset?

Re: Marisa

I went to RK a few weeks, but with my friend to buy her dress. She has had a great experience with them thus far. I found a Marisa dress I really liked at Macy's in Manhasset and got a much lower price from RK for the same dress. I would call them, they'll give you a quote over the phone.

They will give you a price quote right over the phone?? What is their alteration policy?

Re: Marisa

Yeah they will. I called and they did. They just can't give quotes via e-mail for some reason. If you go to their website (www.rkbridal.com) they have a 1800 number you can call.
I think they charge $225 for alterations and that includes bustle. If you need little or no alterations, they will charge you less or charge you just for the bustle.

I got my dress from the Wedding Salon of Manhasset and I can't say enough great things about them, definitely get a price quote from them, their service is awesome.

Re: Marisa

Igot my Marisa from RK bridal at considerably less than they were selling it at other places, including Macy's, I called a bunch of places too and RK Bridal was always lower. It also arrived much faster than they said it would.

Re: Marisa

I got my Marisa from Bridal Reflections but told them that RK sold if for about $300 less and they beat the price! Which Marisa do you like?

I've also been to RK and The Wedding Salon. They are both nice. RK has less expensive gowns but are very nice in there but it can get CRAZY on Saturdays and you can't make appointments. The Wedding Salon is great but the gowns are more on the expensive side. But their service seemed great and I have not heard one complaint from there.

I liked Style CS4773. They said it had just come in - $2400. How did they act when you told them RK could get it cheaper? Also, how is RK Bridal? Is it like a real wedding salon? Private dressing rooms? One-on-one help? What's the deal with them re alterations? Why did you choose to get it from Bridal Reflections rather than RK?

Thanks

Re: Marisa

I thought a lot of girls on this board had many problems/complaints about Bridal Couture? Am I thinking of someplace else?

Re: Marisa

They were okay when I told them I could find it cheaper at RK however, they didn't say it but they hinted that RK doesn't always have the best quality and somewhat to the extent that they are not a certified Marisa dealer. I think RK is fine and that they are certified but I didn't argue because they gave me a cheaper price.

RK is a real bridal store but its not as much personalized attention since it's a bigger store. But I still think they are great and have always been nice and helpful when I've gone in. I just decided to go with BR because it's closer to my parents house and I wanted more personalized attention. Let me know what you decide!
