How long does it take for the marriage license to come? I got married on July 8 and my officiant sent it certified and i got the return receipt saying it was received on July 13. It is now July 26 and i have yet to receive it! I'm getting worried because i moved into our new home and did a change of address and i'm afraid it's lost somewhere. Does it usually take this long or should i be worried???

I received my marriage certificate last Tuesday 7/17.

We got married on June 2nd and I'm assuming our Rabbi sent it out right after b/c our marriage certificate was waiting for us at home when we got back from our HM on June 23rd :)

We got married June 30th and only got our marriage license yesterday. This is the busiest time of the year for wedding and the clerks offices are swamped. If your worried you can call to check on the status of your license which is what i did. Itll come dont worry!

Sometimes it takes longer to receive mail after you do a change of address.

I must have been really lucky we were married July 14th I got my certificate July 19th We went to Hempstead to get the license..maybe they are faster than other offices?
