Massapequans...house hunting question...

My FI and I are looking for a house in/near Massapequa (we think). Just wondering about the school districts out there - it's very important to us. Also, I'm not that familiar w/ the area even though 2 of my cousins and their families live there, how is Massap. Pk v. E. Massap v. Massap??? Thanks!

Massapequans...house hunting question...

Massapequa surrounds Massapequa Park and they both go the Massapequa School District. The School District is a good one (I think) my three sisters and I went there. Depending on the address in East Massapequa, you may end up in the Amityville Schoold District. e-mail me if you have any more questions, be glad to help!

Massapequans...house hunting question...

FYI... The house across the street is in Massapequa Park, but Farmingdale SD. It is going up for sale at 319,000. I think its a split, but I have not been inside in a long time. If they put a # up outside I will post it. SD 23 is the Massapequa School District. You can also live in Massapequa or MassPk and be in Plainedge, Amityville or Farmingdale School Districts. I believe houses in SD23 are more expensive because they are in the Massapequa School District.

Massapequans...house hunting question...

The one thing about living in Massapeuqua Park is that it is an incorporated village so your have to pay village tax in addition to regular property/school taxes. If you are looking at ads and they mention school districts, Massapequa is SD# 23, Plainedge(houses in N. Massapequa and Massapeuqa) is SD# 18 and Farmingdale(houses in N. Massapequa and Nothern Massapequa Park) is SD# 22.
