go to the American Cancer Society website and they have a lot of info on there. They give you a number you can call and have a sample pack delivered to your house.

Re: MAY 2004
Hi I am May 30th. So far I have: Church: St. Rose in Massapequa Hall: Leonard's DJ: Tommy's Tunes Dress: Mori Lee from Lillettes I am going to start looking for photography and videographers soon and the florist. We are not having an e-party because my FH is in the army and without knowing when he would be home, we couldnt plan anything. I will be registering next weekend.

I'm still looking for ideas to make favors too. I want something they can use again, not just toss when they get home.

Re: MAY 2004
Hi everyone!
Well, we booked the band yesterday, so I'm very excited about that. My FI is excited about that too (the band is the one thing that he has been into throughout this whole planning process). My dad thinks I'm nuts that I wanted to get all this stuff done so early, but I'm glad to see that other May brides also have gotten alot done too. Actually, it's not too early anyway since things start booking up now. I'm excited about getting a dress, the dresses that I've seen on this page are beautiful!

Re: MAY 2004
Jess you just reminded me I have an appointment with Get In Tune on Wed. Its like pulling teeth to get FH to do anything wedding related. Hes such a bone head. BUT his parents were down this weekend visiting and I brought them to the Vineyard and they were SOOOO excited. Atleast someone in that family is going to be helpful. His mom is giving us a list of people from their side of the fam to invite. I love her.

Re: MAY 2004
Karen, I've heard GREAT things about the Vineyard, congrats! It's supposed to be really beautiful. Your lucky, getting a list from my FI parents is like pulling teeth. We have the names and I've had to be a private detective to find out their addresses. It's crazy. But, we're getting there - slowly!

Re: MAY 2004
grrr its starting already. FH's family is already more involved than they should be. FMIL couldn't believe my dad doesn't really want a say in where we have it, he believes its up to me and doesn't want to INTRUDE!!! they were already asking why I wouldn't want it on a boat. Because I said so... that should be enough reason. 'why don't you want to go down to 'here comes the bride?' Because I don't want to!!! hehe this is gonna be fun. I know they mean well and are having fun planning, but they have to realize it's not up to them.

Yep, that's what happens, been there done that. People eventually need to realize it's your wedding and you are going to do what you want to do. Just be nice and say 'thank you' and then do your own thing.
How far in advance do you send out STD magnets?

Re: MAY 2004
Tracyg - I dont mean to side with them but they mean well... it is your day so have it when where and with whatever music you want. If you want to walk down the aisle to Maragrettaville its your decision To make everyone happy just listen to them then make up your own mind JMO
Jess - I figure if I start working on the STD's now them maybe sometime in like June they should be ready. Then Ill send them out. Someone here told me its like no less then 8 months b4 the wedding.

Re: MAY 2004
i already said I know they mean well.. it just gets frustrating because my family is not like that. They'll make suggestions but not be opinionated about it.

Re: MAY 2004
Ill be hanging out with 'Dion' on my wedding day. I figured it was a sign... the first dress I wanted but wasnt sure of was model #666 (turn and run from that one) then this dress... my Maggie was #1978 (the year I was born). I ordered it on the spot. There is a pic of my dress on the same thread
