For some reason I am thinking about pushing my appointments off with my vendors (DJ and florist) for a couple months. Its too cold out. I need some inspiration and motivation!!!

book now!!! You have no idea how much money I saved by booking early, I saved by booking early! My DJ went up, my photograher went up and my limos went up. Really, it made a big difference!

I am going to start booking the other vendors in the Spring. I will also start looking for a dress then. By the end of the summer we are also going to start looking fo a house.

I booked my florist now, and it is still expensive but supposedly we are getting 2003 pricing so I guess it is better. We booked the band & photographer early since I was told those usually get booked quickly so it's good to have that done as soon as you're able. It's also nice to have things done. We probably could have waited on some of this stuff, but I'm a bit compulsive so that sort of adds to me getting everything done.

I'm the same way. We're going to check out a few reception sites tonight. YAY! Probably check out Westbury Manor, Jericho Terrace and maybe one more if we have time. I plan on doing everything as soon as humanly possible!!

I know I probably shouldnt have but I cancelled my appointment with the DJ tonight... I have 3 people staying at my house till Friday and I dont think it would be hospitable of me to leave for the night. I want to get things done but oh well. I am going away for a whole chunk of time in February, cant do anything then. Maybe when I get back Ill get motivated.

now my date is up in the air again. I have to have it on a Sunday afternoon, due to ceremony and pricing needs (Sat night too darn expensive!!!) It will still be in May, and hopefully at Westbury Manor, but who knows when. Back to the drawing board.

THAT S*CKS!!! Im having Sat afternoon too cause of the min. amount of people. I think its BS how catering places can tell you how many people you have to have...

I hope you find someplace!! You cant have it in the afternoon at the place you already booked?? Good Luck!!

It's annoying, cuz i was engaged before... and when it came to money i would ask for the budget and he would just say 'just tell me what you need, and i'll let you know if I can't do it' WELL that DOESN'T HELP!!!! this time around i'm going to ask for a fixed number, that way we'll know if we should be taking out a loan.
I can see it now. 'dad, I need $500 for the flowers' 'Sorry, no more money' AHHHHHHHH
Plus I sorta need an answer ON sat since I want to be able to book on Sun (lady said MLK day will be a big booking day, unless shes feeding me a line LOL)

I did buy it and I love the dress. It's so stressful when everyone says style will change. That's why I come on this board to get other brides opinions.

I can't believe how much everyone has done. I feel so behind. It's so hard for me to get out to the island but I have to start booking vendors.

Im going to wait till March then really get going on this whole planning thing. Im not into meeting with DJ's now for some reason. Im going to Florida and Myrtle Beach in Feb so that will be the break I need to get myself back in the swing of things.

Don't feel bad about not getting stuff done, honestly I'm a little compulsive (to say the least) so I just wanted to get it all out of the way. Plus, in May I have to start looking for apartments in Jersey, so I just wanted to have stuff squared away before then.

I went to see a vendor in December. Since then Ive received an email from him asking if Ive done anything else. I said no and that he was more expensive than others that Ive spoken with... he said yes he was and that his service is the most important thing at the wedding... EXCUSE ME BUT I think me and my FH are the most important thing there. I just wanna reach through the email and smack him one.
