me and fh breaking up

my fh wants me to quit smoking, and i'm trying but it's very hard. i've cut down a lot though. we had a big fight today about it and he said some really hurtfull things to me and told me to leave. i took all my clothes from his house, gave him back my ring and his nextel phone. he said he never wants to see me again. i don't know what to do. he doesn't understand how hard it is to quit cold turkey and i have been trying very hard, but he doesn't care. i know we've been having some problems other than him wanting me to quit, but this was what caused the fight and me to leave.

thanks again everyone, you guys are the best we had a long talk about everything that was wrong, not just about me smoking, and everything has been worked out. i am doing hypnosis for stopping smoking at southside hospital on feb. 3rd, so i hope it works for me. my friend told me her father did it, and he smoked for over 20 years and he stopped, so i'm keeping my fingers crossed that it will work. has anyone ever do this or know someone who did, if so i would appreciate it if you could let me know how it works.

I dont know anyone but I just wanted to wish you luck w/ everything!!!! I quit smoking 3 years ago and it was the best thing I have ever done for myself! I smoked for 10 years. I quit on my own but I wish you luck w/ the hypnosis.

I don't know anyone who's actually quit through hypnosis, but the idea behind it is that the hypnotist puts you in an unconscious state that allows your Subconscious to be talked to. This way, he places ideas in your subconscious that will erase your desire for nicotene. It's a thought, and I've heard that it does work for some people. Don't give up, though!!!!!!! Keep trying. I know what it's like to love someone who has a deadly habit - it's TOUGH.

Congrats on trying an alternate path to quit smoking, I have been struggling with this forever, so I know how hard it is to quit. Half of it (if not more) is mental, at least for me. I am curious to know how your hypnosis goes, I am considering this as well. Good luck!

My dad quit with the patch. He hasnt smoked in the last 5 years. He likes the smell of it but hasnt had the craving for one.

Both of my best friends parents quit through hypnosis (had it done back in Michigan) and my best friend quit the same way for 6 years - only went back during a very stressful time when her mother died from cancer.

A couple of people at work have quit with the patch too, and only went through the first stage before dropping the program and haven't gone back to smoking.

thanks again girls you are alll the best. we have been getting along a lot better since our talk. today is fh birthday so were going to go out to eat tonight and i'm leaving now to go get hiim his gifts. i will let everyone know how the hypnosis goes.
