So, even though we are moving on to new QOTD's -- I would like to propose that we bump this and keep it going -- I think it is a great thread to keep floating so everyone can learn about everyone else. Sorry for the delay in my response, this IS a fun topic!

Me: Emily (25, 8/23)
FH: Aaron (27, 6/3 so he'll turn 28 exactly one week before we get married)
Me: Sales for a sports team
FH: Athletic Trainer
Met: on a blind date set up by a former client of mine who was a former co-worker of him.

Proposal: 7/19 in a teeny tiny village in southern France (we were following the Tour de France, hence my pict of Lance). Since we were biking every day and wearing cycling gloves I couldn't really wear my ring except at night, and even then it was WAY too big!

Wedding: Ceremony, Old First Church in Huntington, The Woodlands in Syosset 6/10/05

Honeymoon: He's planned all of our trips together, so I'm leaving that up to him.

Ring: Same as some of the others--4 pronged brilliant cut diamond with a platinum setting.

Dress: Paula Varsalona--absolutely cannot find a picture of it!

Met: at NCC (Nassau Community COllege). I was a dumbblonde whom locked her keys in the car and he came and rescued me!
Ring: GORGEOUS! (the pic doesnt do it justcie) Princess center cut with a princess stone on each side and then baguettes on each side of that
Proposal: romantic dinner for two with two dozen flowers and candles, and petals leading me to the ring .

Wedding: Majestic Gardens in Rocky Point. Saturday September 17th 2005
Honeymoon: thinking about aruba
Dress: marys bridal. gorgeous! after i bought it my mom was in the supermarket and bought modern bride that month because there was my dress, on the FRONT COVER!!!!

met: through a friend when i was also in the Navy as an officer. she was going to eat with him (they worked together-i was at another station in DC) and invited me to go along. a week later he asked me out and the rest is history as they say.
proposal: we knew we were going to marry but he wanted to surprise me so he took me to a movie, and stuck it in the popcorn. i was shocked!
ring: princess solitaire.

Met: we both worked at the same retail location. We were talking about younger men in realtionships and he asked him to give him a chance and I did.

Proposal: Gave the ring to our daughter and she says ' Daddy wants to marry you.' I cried forever.

I am a lurker and sometimes poster..but couldn't resist when I saw that someone else got engaged while road biking..hehehe.

Me: Beth (27), finishing up Master's Degree in Education- currently student teaching (not good for the wedding budget) :)

He: Dale (34), FDNY

Met: Went out 6 years ago on a few dates but then I moved to England- at that time he was working at a local establishment I frequented. Reconnected 3 years later on a random night...

Proposal: Took our road bikes out around sunset near the water.

WEdding ceremony: Local Church in town, Fox Hollow 4/30/05

Honeymoon- ??

Dress: having made based on design by Erisa Katsura...am interested to see how it comes out.

Me: Amy, 31, full time college student AND nutslinger at 30,000 feet.

FI: Tony, 23, ramp supervisor at the airline we work for.

Met: He was flying to Dallas for some kind of company meeting and I was working his flight. He was too shy to ask for my number (he knew I was older and he THOUGHT I knew how young he was)so my coworker chased him down and forced his phone number out of him.

Proposal: He did what would mean the most to me- he proposed in front of my parents. My parents are the most wonderful people in the world and I can only hope that we are still as in love as they are after 35 years of marriage.

Ring:platinum, 1.5 carat brilliant cut w/baguettes it looks GAWJUS on my man hands!
