I just heard that song 'if I had a million dollars' by the Barenaked Ladies and it got me thinking. What would you all do if you had a million dollars (nwr)?

I'd go away... far away... and not tell anyone. Just me and FH. A million is a lot but not as uncommon as a billion dollars. I'd start my business. And stop working for other people.

1) pay off all my student loans, mortgage, credit cards 2) put a bunch in savings for my future kids 3) probably buy 2 brand new cars (1 for me 1for FH) 4) maybe give my parents some money back for some things they have helped me with 5) with the rest, travel!

Now I have that song in my head. The second I saw the topic title t hat song popped into my head!
If I had a million dollars I would buy a house(isn't that a line in the song) and pay it off! Then I'd save the rest, I would not spend anymore on my wedding!

1. pay off student loans, mortgage, credit cards 2. pay for FH's racing season 3. give family members money (the ones i speak to) and close friends that i call family 4. put money in bank for later use 5. travel

pay off the wedding... buy a car for me and one for Fh put a nice down payment on a house... pay off any credit cards or anything and m student loan also give $ to my mom and uncle...

It's sad that a million dollars doesn't get u very far in N.Y.!
I would: 1) pay off my debt, FH's debt 2) upgrade some stuff with the wedding 3) buy us a house in forest hills.
and then the money would be GONE!

Invest $500k Pay off Student Loans Pay off Credit Cards Pay off FH's car/bills Place a large down payment on a home But a car or two And stop stressing over the cost of the wedding and honeymoon!

contact a financial advisor asap to give me advice on how to manage my money and how, if possible, i could live off the interest. that would dictate how many money i really have to play around with and what to do.
i always thought/said i woudl give to charity, so i would need to look into that too

a million dollars seems like a lot but its not enough to live off...but i would try to put it to good use so that we are living debt free (no mortgage, etc)
