Misspelling on invite-- do I say anything??

Original post by LoveRocks

I just received an invite to a friend's wedding and I noticed that his middle name is spelled wrong Its supposed to be Joseph, but its spelled Jospeh!!! I feel really bad but should even bother to say anything? I mean, they're already out and there's nothing he can do about it now.

I hate spelling errors and DH and I obsessed over our invite proofs to make sure everything was perfect. How did they miss it????????????

Oh my gosh - definitely do NOT say anything. Can you imagine how awful they'd feel?

why would you say anything? personally i think it would be rude to point out a mistake. JMO.

If it was me, I would just Keep my Mouth shut.

I am sure she knows about it already, maybe it was Too Late to Fix it.

Or is she doesn't know, I know If I was the Bride, that would Kill me.

They might already know and decided to just leave it instead of spending more money to fix it. That happened with our return envelopes...they misspelled FH's first name. Oh well...don't sweat the small stuff.

If it was beforehand- i would def say something

i would probably wait to see if someone else says something..that way its not like he knows EVERYONE noticed. (im sure ppl will speak up)

but if no one says something I would tell him b/c they should reimburse him if he ordered them from a company.

If t was a DIY- I would ignore it

I wouldn't say anything. Like people said- I'm sure someone will bring it to their attention!

When considering saying something to my friends, the intention was never to be rude or to embarass them as some of you had assumed. I got a nasty FM about it and honestly, I wrote the post before I thought about it too much because I felt so bad for them. I was NOT going to tell them because I wanted to call them out because they made a mistake.

Thank you for all of your responses.

I wouldn't say anything. I am sure the bride knows already and feels horrible about it.

imo, theres no point to bring it up, even if you were just trying to be nice about it. this happens a lot, i guess in the hubbub of wedding planning, it got overlooked. i think i would get annoyed if people called me to tell me, even though it was my mistake to begin with.
