My mom and I went looking for dresses about a week or two ago and I found one for her that I absolutely loved. She tried it on and really liked it too, but wasn't quite sure about it because it's not like anything she's ever owned.(which is why I loved it)
I felt like she should have something that made her stand out as MOB and not just a lady in a pretty dress.

Well, we went to a store today, and they had the dress! Which was crazy b/c we thought it was an exclusive to the store we originally saw it at...
anyway... they had ONE left in the color she liked, and it was HER SIZE!
She tried it on and showed my dad who was with us and the sales lady and 2 cute little boys that were waiting for their mom all said they loved it.

So... she bought it!
and get this... it was HALF the price it was at the other store, plus we got a 20% discount on top of that! It was like the deal of the century.

thats great...i have to admit i am not looking forward to going with my mother to look...i feel like she is going to be more difficult to find a dress for her than it was to find mine where did your mother get hers? and congrats as well!

Trust me... I thought the same thing, but it was the total opposite. Mom and I only went together to one place to look, and then we found the dress again at another store today and she tried it on again...
I LOVE LOVE LOVED it... i'm actually a little worried that she got it just b/c I liked it, but she promised me she wouldn't do that.

She got it at Burlington Coat Factory. She got another one at Macy's too but she'll wear that to one of the other family weddings we have this year.

My mom told me the wrong designer... i just called again and my dad told me who it is by and i found the picture in 2 seconds flat.

Kerri that's so pretty, Were you at the Bridal Shop of Bayshore yesterday? I thought I saw you when I walked in, but I wasn't sure, and didn't want to embrass myself or my cousin

oh god... please don't let my mother hear that your grandmother bought the same dress... she'll die.
the whole reason we convinced her to get this dress is b/c it's not as 'matronly' as the dresses she was originally looking at.
i told her it was 'young and hip'

you're right though, it is a pretty dress.
