Mommy

Original post by rojerono

It is almost 1 year now since my mom passed away. It IS one year since she was diagnosed with cancer.

When she was in the hospital I told her FH and I were finally going to get married and that she needed to stay alive to celebrate it with us. She rolled her eyes and told me she'd be there no matter what anyway.

I just miss her like crazy. I can't tell you how wonderful she was... she was friendly and insightful and hilarious. She was the mom that all of my friends loved and wanted to be around.

I would give almost anything to sit on my deck and chat with her over a cup of coffee ... or a beer.

She just had a way of making life seem easier.

Life can be so unfair. Your mommy will always be with you in your heart. I'm so sorry for your loss.

22 years ago today my dad passed away from cancer. I was 4 and I have to say he was my best friend. Even though I didn't get that much time with him I can remember everything about him. I know its hard, but she is with you now and will be there with you on your wedding day. Keep your head up.

OMG...I totally understand what you are going through. Isn't it amazing how mom's always make things better. I can cry just writing this because I know how it feels to miss somone you love so much especially at a time like this in your life. My mom passed away when I was 18 (I can't believe it has been 8 years already) but I know on my wedding day she will be by my side.

You just have to know your mom will be there right next to you. She sounds like a wonderful woman and she would be very proud of you.

Lung cancer is a tough one. I'm so sorry for your loss. She was right you know. She will be there and she will be right beside you the whole time. I'm sure you talk to her often- keep doing it bc she can hear you. Ask her to send you something and she will. Be strong!

I know the pain that you are feeling, I lost my Mother this past Feb. For all of us who have lost one or both of our parents (both my Mom & Dad are gone.) They will be with all of us on our wedding day right by our side.
