more tattoo questions....

where is a good place on my body to put one? Mine is already on my lower back

is it truly gay/tacky/cheesy for DH and I to get matching ones that mean something to us?

Re: more tattoo questions....

I want one on my foot.

I think that it depends on what tattoo the both of you are getting.
ex. If you both had hearts...yeah IMO kinda tacky but if you
both had like a chinese symbol ....not tacky

Re: more tattoo questions....

similar to Somolokoffs' tat....
but it would be the trinity symbol but the three sides would be the words love hope and faith

Re: more tattoo questions....

I think that is a great idea!
ETA....just make yours a little more feminine

Well I think for women, a bad place to put one is either the stomach area or the breast area. Those are the areas that change when baby comes along.

LOL
Mine is on my upper arm. The tat guy was like 'are you sure?'

I can wear short sleeve shorts nearly baby Tees and you can't see it. So for work it's no biggie.. and my tat means alot to me so I don't hide it in the summer.

But is a bit of a pain finding formal wear since EVERYTHING is mostly sleeveless. I have events I go to and it's always an adventure finding formalwear

I agree.
I have one on the back of my neck. I like it there because it's easy to hide, and I don't have to look at it every day!

I wanted one on my foot, but I gave up trying to find an artist that would put one there. (???)

I have one on my inner calf - it's kind of a random place, but I like it there. And I don't think it will change as I age like one on my stomach would. (Although I love tattoos on stomachs - I think they can be very sexy!)

I know - I've seen tons of people with tattoos on their feet!! But apparently it was totally unheard of in Texas. How weird.

was that painful? Getting it on your neck???
I heard getting one on your foot is very painfu

Re: more tattoo questions....

I didn't think it was terribly painful, but it's the only one I have, so I have nothing to compare it to. I don't have a very good pain tolerance, but I didn't think it was awful.

Yep.. When I asked why they said it was for the same reason they won't tattoo a hand. Too many veins.

*shrug*

Once I left Texas I found lots of people have them.

I actually like on the hip.
Ps. I had a baby after I got mine there and it went back to normal.

Gotta love Texas! Actually, I was living in Oklahoma at the time I wanted a tattoo, and I had to travel to TX to get it done b/c they're illegal in OK.

I have one on my ankle & the other on my upper thigh.

I hate the look on the boobs as well. It's just nasty looking IMO!!

Re: more tattoo questions....

I have mine on my left ankle...I think women should not have them on their shoulders( upper body area)

I am not trying to offend anyone...this is JMO
