Mother of the Bride dress

Can anyone suggest places to go for Mother of the bride dresses? I've been to Sears, Macy's, Penney's, Lord & taylor....they either look like bridesmaid dresses or old lady dresses!!

Please help a fellow 08'er

my mom and i went to macys in manhasset.... they have a bridal department. HTH

my mom got hers at totally you and my FMIL got hers at estelles. have you tried any bridal stores??

Estelle's dressy dresses in Farmingdale is a good place (it's on 110 past Adventure Land) and they have great prices too.

My mom got hers at Macys in Manhasset and FMIL got hers at JC Penneys in the Queens Center Mall

you may also want to try My Daughter's Wedding II (in Great Neck) and Wedding Plaza (down the block from Floral Terrace)

My mom bought her dress from the bridal boutique in Macy's in Manhasset. She wore a Jade by Jasmine dress - that line seems to not look like frumpy MOB dresses. My mom was adamant that she was not going to wear something that looked like it was made for my grandmother.

My mom went to MY DAUGHTER'S WEDDING in Great Neck, They have such a good selection.

This was tough one b/c my mom is super picky w/ the type of fabric...but we finally found one at Lord and Taylor's...only thing was it was cut on a bias so the zipper in the back puckered...but our seamstress was able to fix that

Try Totally You on Merrick Avenue in Bellmore. They have a really nice selection and the salespeople are great.

If your mom doesnt care about a budget...try Phillies in Albertson...great personalized boutique service!!!

my mom got hers at RK bridal in the city and it got here in a week... but the gowns are a bit more pricey...

i would also try estelle's

Totally You in Bellmore, I think on Merrick has GORGEOUS MOB dresses and reasonable too..

My Mom ordered hers where i ordered my gown...my mil bought hers at pzaz... this was her gown. They had a bunch...Estelles had a HUGE selection!
