so on our way out to the hamptons yesterday, we kept passing by all these nice apts/condos and I was writing down the names and such so I could look them up on the comp later on...
Well, on the way back home, I said, 'yea, we should start looking for apts because i mean we have to get one in .... let see this is may... we need one by julyish... so thats 2 months...' It was at that point that I completely freaked out, heart palpatations and the works... thinkin wow how did i not realize it was THIS soon... This whole time I didnt realize that I was moving out of mom and dads within 2 months... I think I'm still a little on edge about it.. Its weird the way things suddenly hit you
On that note, if you're still reading this, can anyone suggest resources for apt rentals? We cannot afford to buy anything just yet so we'll be renting before the wedding! Sux, but what can ya do?!?

me and FH were talking about this the other day and we're actually taking the apartment above my parents (they have a 2 family house) and I'm kind of excited bc I love my neighborhood and my house.
FH says the only reason I'm not nervous about moving out is because I'm really not moving out with my parents downstairs -- I must say it puts me at ease a little but but it also helps that we'll be able to really save for a house this way

I grew up in Astoria too! FH still lives there and alot of my fam still lives there....it's so expensive but it's so great to be there, I practically live there still, there's so much to do.

oh no! i WANT the quiet! i swear i live on the busiest street in my area...always something happening... im tiredof the drug dealers yelling up to someone in my building tryin to get their fix... im tired of the car alarms going off every 2 secs for no reason, im tired of the drunken house full of kids across the st from me that never seem to have any jobs... im tired of the cops getting called on this woman across the st from me who just fights and fights with her bf.... i could go on and on..

im the opposite, i get scared if im in someones house and i hear something outside, i jump lol

I think a condo is the way to go... especially since the market has gone down. You'll probably end up spending the same amount on rent as you would if you got a condo.

Down south as in like Georgia, etc? I HEAR THAT!! FH and I always look at homes in Texas--you get SO MUCH for your money!!
Edited to say: Bayside in Queens has affordable condos and the area is really nice!!
