You had me worried there for just a minute that I was not using the correct word Shame on you, doubting my abilities as a seminal word smith!!!!!

Oh, I don't doubt your seminal wordsmithery at all! I didn't even blink when you used the word... then Wendy rocked my world with her post and I just had to find out the definition!

Getting back to this whale songs problem... every song on this Sigur Ros CD seems to be at least 45 minutes long. END ALREADY!!!!!

I'd just like to say that this album is absolutely incredible. Yes, it's true that I understand none of the lyrics, but I could care less. The musical experience that is Sigur Ros requires no lyrics; they evoke the purest emotions more convincingly than any other band I've ever heard. This is an album to be felt, not heard. The songs are composed of usually repetetive harmonies that vary and build with a climax that can only be described as musical bliss (***SEE SEMINAL IN DICTIONARY***). One of my favorite things to do, especially when I'm stressed, is to light some incense and put on this album and just chill. This band takes a few listens to acquire a taste to, and they're definately not for everyone. But if you like atmospheric, flowing music, you should definately like Sigur Ros. Their other album, Agaetis Byrjun, is considerably different in composition, but ultimately has the same sound. I recommend this album highly to anyone who's looking for beautiful, flowing, emotion-provoking music.

DH is a big Elvis and 50's music fan. I don't hate it but I prefer classic rock or 80's. At least he likes Duran Duran (which kinda scares me too...)

I know!! Go look in his car - he's got a retro Wilson Phillips tape and then Biggie Smalls. I'm like 'Confused much??'. He reminds me of the nerd at the beginning of Office Space that is driving to work w/the gangsta rap blaring? Then he sees the window washer guy on the road and turns it down, locks the door and rolls up the window....

PIMP!!!!

I love freestyle he hates it!! When we first starting going out I was into Rap and Alternative and he listened to Pantera I got dragged to a few of the concerts!

but now we pretty much listen to everything Minus the freestyle for him!
