My 08/18/02 Wedding Review

Hello Ladies!

Thought I'd finally get around to posting this!

Hair - Giovanna's in Massapequa. She did a wonderful job on all of us. I was very pleased with the way my hair turned out. I received so many compliments!

Make-Up -Jackie from I Make-Up You did everyone's make-up. She did a terrific job and everyone was happy with the way they looked. Since I hardly wear make-up, I wanted a natural look, and she did a really great job.

Limos - RJ's Limos in Wantagh, they showed up on time, remembered the runner, and the Escolade was clean and cold. Our driver was courteos and very easy to work with.

Gowns - Mine was from Princess Bridal in Farmingdale, and the girls were from Bridal Reflections in Massapequa. We all had positive experiences with them and would recommend them to anyone else.

Tuxes - VIP in Massapequa. One of our Groomsman couldn't make the wedding at the last minute, and they didn't charge us for the tuxedo, which was already pressed and ready to go. Very nice to deal with and I can get my dress cleaned for free by their cleaners if I wanted to.

Reception Hall - The Meadow Club in Port Jefferson. Mike and George made us feel like Royalty that night. We wanted for nothing. The wait staff was incredible, the service was really great, and the food was amazing. We had Filet Mignon, Chicken Cordon Bleu, and Salmon, and everyone told us that it was some of the best food they had eaten at a wedding.

Band - Full House. www.fullhousemusic.com WOW! They totally had everyone on the dance floor all evening long. People kept coming up to us to tell us that they were incredible and one of the best bands they had ever heard.

Photography/Videography - Glenn Edwards Photography - Jaime was our Video guy who works with Glenn. Glenn made the day go so smoothly, was wonderful with the children we had in the BP and stayed for the entire evening. Jaime went above and beyond the call of duty at church, helping my mother in law tie the pew bows on (that story will follow). He was also incredible, I don't ever remember seeing Jaime around on the dance floor, even though he was there. Very unobtrusive.

Flowers - Florissima in Huntington. Again, I was very happy with all my flowers. I did all roses, and the mothers had dendrobium orchids that were dyed blue/green.
The florist was originally supposed to tie the pew bows with flowers on right before the ceremony (which was at 3:30), but when they called the church, the church told the florist that they wanted the bows there earlier, and that the sacristan would take care of the tying. The florist called me about 1:30pm to tell me that the sacristan was no where to be found and no one is there to help the poor delivery guy out. I told them to just leave everything in the back room of the church, and that my MIL would just have to tie them on the pews since they would all be there before me. So it all worked out in the end with the bows since Jamie helped my MIL find the bows and tie them on.

I was a little ticked that the sacristan totally messed that up on me, but it all worked out.

The day was really just perfect, and I was glad that there were no major mishaps!

VickiC! OMG! Here I am reading your review and then I see your pic! It's Jen (Paiz), from MHS. How ARE you! Obviously doing very well, congratulations, by the way. You look gorgeous! I went for a trial with Jackie, and liked it very much. I've never heard of the hair place, where is it located?

I am getting married in April next year, and am currently living with my FH in North Babylon. I hope you and your family are all well (I see your sister in your pic!)

Vicki - congratulations - you look beautiful! I'm so glad everything went well on your wedding day.
We used Full House music for our wedding, too and we were delighted with how happy they made our guests.
