My 10/13/02 wedding review part 3 (VERY LONG!)

Is it normal to receive a Thank you from a guest who attended your wedding?? We did!! People are calling and writing to tell us what a great time they had and how good the food was!!!!!!! When we arrived my attendant escorted my husband and I into the cocktail hour and explained every single item that was going to be served. From the caviar station with vodka encased in ice right down to the carving station and pasta selections. It looked AWESOME!!!! Our guests were greeted with
champagne and strawberries. We decided early on we wanted to be a part of our cocktail hour and get our own plates of food. Although, we were offered more than once the assistance of our attendant. We did eat in the bridal suite which was amazing. The bathroom had beautiful hand painted flowers on the sink and toilet bowl. Gorgeous! The cocktail
hour and actual reception are held in 2 seperate rooms and when the guests were welcomed into the cocktail hour, they could not see the actual reception room since it was blocked off by a solid wall that was also beautifully painted with flowers. That was important to me as well as ONE wedding at a time. After we were introduced and danced
to our first song, the food kept coming! I decided to combine an appetizer and salad and went with a chicken ceasar salad. For our main entree we had a choice of swordfish steak, 11 oz. filet mignon, and chicken stuffed with ricotta and prosciutto. YUMMY!!!! It was so good. And, get this, everyone was offered seconds and it didn't even have to
be what you originally ordered!!! Mike and I were even offered one of each entree!! We warned everyone to please come on an empty stomach,
and they were so glad they did. John Gouvis was such a doll and tended to my family like we were Royalty. My bridal attendant assisted us
from the second we walked in the front door. The entire staff was willing to give anything to my guests. Every napkin was always folded,
chairs were always pushed in and the entire staff always had a smile on their face. At the end of the night after we tipped the staff- EVERY
single bartender, waiter, waitress, Attendant, etc... Personally thanked my Husband and I. Some even noted it was the best wedding they ever
worked.

Favors-
Make-A- Wish of Suffolk County
My husband pretty much left all the wedding planning up to me, but when it came to favors he knew exactly what he wanted. We donated
$ 500 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Suffolk County. Our contribution helped a 3 year old from West Babylon who has Cerebral Palsy with seizures.
His name is Kay'Shawn and he and his family went to Disney World. It made Mike and I feel so food to know we helped out this child. When our guests opened up their scrolls, it brought a tear to some and others were just very thankful.

That's too bad about the limos, especially the stench! Who needs to deal with that? Gross!

We had a thank you waiting for us when we got home from our honeymoon. It was thanking us for having them and complimenting what a wonderful time they had. It was very nice.

Thanks for your 3 part review - you were very detailed! I'm sorry for the stench in your limo - that is nasty. Hopefully they can find the source of the smell!

Your favors made me want to cry that is so sweet! What a wonderful thing to do! It really is making me reconsider giving my money to Mikasa or to someone who needs it! Glad you had a wonderful day!
