My 5/31/03 wedding review!

Ok here goes!

It rained from the second the photographer got to my house, so no outdoor pics, but I swear I didn't care at all. Newlyweds....you were right all along!

Crest Hollow - A++++
They were beyond everything we expected. A few very minor miscommunication errors...but everything was fixed and handled and it was just perfect. Our banquet manager quit the week before our wedding, so the maitre d didn't really have the info and detail he needed...but he was quick and responsive and so accomodating. Everyone there was so nice. The food was INCREDIBLE. We have gotten so many compliments on this it's NUTS. We must have had a great chef on duty, because no joke...it was exceptional! The cake was beautiful, well beyond what we expected. We were so happy with them!!! And it was no where NEAR a wedding factory. We never saw another party. We had the entire upstairs to ourselves. Both the ceremony and cocktail overlooked the pool, and it was breathtaking!!

Photos - Dominick from Cassarino (now with his own studio Twelfth Night ) A+++++
I LOVED HIM!!!! He was fast, fun, took great shots, had us laughing our arses off, was out of everyone's way...he was a dream come true. I can't wait to see the pics!!!!

Video - Rennaissance Video A+++++
He is a close friend, who also happens to be a vendor on this site. He was fantastic. Unobtrusive, quiet, no one knew he was there, but he was EVERYWHERE. I can't wait to see the end result!!

Limos - not getting into it now....we got there on time and that was about it. We have quite a few issues to work out before I even attempt a review.

Flowers - Pedestals - A++++++
Juda was a sweetheart, and our flowers were gorgeous. The bouquets were fresh, the centerpieces were gorgeous and more than we expected. The cake came out so pretty I almost cried!! Their little touches of candles and rose petals everywhere made everything glow..I loved them!!!

Band - The Funkestra - B-
We got a bit burned because 3/4 of the band were replacements from when we hired them. They are a CT based band, and they sounded great, but we had no MC and things were a bit disorganized occasionally. But, everyone danced, they did our songs wonderfully...and I guess that's what matters! A lot of people told us they were the best band they had heard!

Hair - Karen at Maximus in Merrick. Beyond an A++++++++++++++
She is wonderful, and I recommend her to EVERYONE. She swooped in and saved the day when my sisters stylist screwed up her hair and refused to fix it. Karen told her off and did it herself didn't charge her twice, and she looked gorgeous. She bumped someone to do it for her because she felt so bad...this woman is wonderful!!!!!!

Congratulations!!!!!!!!! Thanks for the great review, and glad the weather didn't bother you! Sorry to hear about the limos, they always seem to be a problem!

Congratulations to you! I have to comment that I had the same thing happen to me with my band, 1/2 of the members were replacements. I know how dissapointing it could be.
