My brother's wedding at Chateau La Mer
My brother and his beautiful bride got married on Sunday. The reception was held at Chateau La Mer. The service was impeccable -- no complaints from the family and guest. The staff was very pleasant, and the bartenders were great. In addition, it appears that they did some renovations since last year. The hall is located on the waters in Long Island, thus, you have a lovely view from all of the rooms.
The cocktail hour was indoor and outdoor. Towards the end of hour, the staff asked that people who were indoor to go near the floor to ceiling window to view the arrival of the bride and groom. They arrived on a boat. Only the parents knew about this arrival, so everyone was pleasantly surprised.
The cocktail hour food was great with lots of choices. The reception was equistite, They had tall centerpieces from Simply Elegant -- they were stunning. However, I though the bridal bouquet and girls bouquet were a little too small. (I used Simply Elegant last year and my bouquet was larger).
The photographer seemed to capture all the memories of the day. The video guys (On-Location Video - 718 649 3200) used two cameras and they didn't miss thing. I can't wait to see the video and the pictures.
In summary, my brother and his wife had a wonderful wedding and their vendors did a wonderful job.

Re: My borther's wedding at Chateau La Mer
We looked into Chateau La Mer last year...I am glad your brothers wedding went well! All the best to him.
When we looked there (the boat idea caught my attention), the front doors were dirty & scratched, the rugs at the entrance were dirty and I saw 2 times in 2 weeks about power outages they had. Both on the news, those trouble shooter type things for couples wanting some sort of compensation! So i then chose to look elsewhere!

I didn't like the rugs when I went to visited last year. But they had told us they would be doing some renovations. They now have marble floor in the lobby -- definitely an improvement.Welcome New Vendors
