I can't help but feel this way but I feel like really sad. When I ordered my dress I liked it and just wanted to get a dress. My mom paid like almost $2000 on it. Now I'm having doubts and I feel like I don't like my dress anymore. I don't want to break my moms heart and I think that it is too late to order a dress. I don't know what to do and I really need help, can I exchange my wedding dress? I feel like beyond sad about this. Thank you.
UPDATE: I went to my dress place and tried on my dress and I love it!!!! Thank you girls for your love and support and enjoy the pics (If they post!).
They probably won't offer an exchange - have you had a fitting yet? Perhaps when u try it on you will fall in love with it all over again...

I havent had a fitting yet, I dunno about this, Im having so many doubts about I just wanna cry, I feel like such a bad daughter if I told my mom.

Have you tried it on since it came in? Maybe you need to bring it up like.....oh..man I hope I still like the dress..I haven't seen it in so long....
man..i dont know...thats tough. That's what I'm worried about since I'm waiting so long to get married. I don't wanna dress shop yet because I really feel like my taste will change...

You can call the salon and see if the designer would have cut the dress yet. You might be able to switch to another dress if they didn't (the salon may be able to just move your deposit to the new dress).
But you may just be having second thoughts; once you put it on, you may fall in love with it all over again. Especially if you haven't seen it in awhile, you might be picturing it looking totally different on you. Or, they might be able to make small adjustments one you're in it, like adding more beading or making the skirt more or less full. There was a reason why you ordered the dress in the first place, and trust your instincts!

The dress came in over a month ago and I have yet to see it. I feel like I just have no ambition (if thats the right word to use) to see it at all. I feel like maybe I should see it this weekend tho. But if I feel this way when its on its really gunna stink.

We all feel like this at one point or another-especially because you order SO FAR in advance and then all the waiting makes you start to doubt it.
If possible, try to relax and see how you feel when the dress comes in and you put it on again.
Trust me, I bought a dress, did a re select 10 weeks later, and the past 5 months I go back and forth in my head with anxiety over how I will like it when it comes in and is mine. Of course it's nerve wracking!!
I just DON'T look at pics of it very often, and I made sure not to take a pic of myself in it so I don't get tired of it.
Remember at the end of the day it's about the marriage of you and fh, everything will work out as it's supposed to with the dress.

I had felt this too and here are a few things that helped me when I was I'm doubt. I thought about my day and how I pictured it. I saw myself IN my dress. Think of how you felt when you tried it on and the expression on your mom's face. And when you put everything together- veil, headpiece, jewelry you can create a whole look. And you can have beading added or lace add straps take off straps... See what you can do... :)) I'm sure your going to fall back in love with it... :)))
I think thats a gorgeous dress - go try it on again- often when u order you don't get the full feel when u try on cause its not even the right size...

I felt the same way about my dress. Don't worry, after you have your first fitting you'll fall in love with it all over again. I think it's from not seeing it for so long. Maybe you can swing by the bridal salon and ask to try on the dress. It will help bring back some memories of why you picked that dress. Good luck!

Maybe you can do some alterations that will change the look of the dress like adding or taking off sleeves, adding some bling, etc. I had doubts about my dress too - I walked into the store to get shoes and saw a few other dresses and my heart broke because I couldn't have them. But in the end, I absolutely loved my dress and wouldn't have traded it for a Vera Wang, that's how perfect it was for me.
OR you could try starting a dress exchange program for all of the brides on here who have second thoughts about their dresses! Maybe someone on here who doesn't like their dress would really love YOUR dress and you could trade!

If it doesnt work its the Maggie Sottero Rhianna royale.
Theres nothing you can add to it.
OMG I saw that on a girl the day I chose my dress and it looked AMAZING on her!!!! I was going to try it on after she got out of it but I found my dress before then...I'm sure you will love it if you try it again, its gorgeous!!!

I just looked at the link to your dress. It is absolutely gorgeous, and more importantly, unique. I personally am so bored with so many dresses out there - they all look the same and have no personality. You are going to wow everyone in this and it will definitely command attention. Once you put it back on, I think you will be glad that this is YOUR dress! And when you pass all of those boring dresses in the store that all look alike, remember how special yours is! Then have fun accessorizing!

I've had the exact same feelings :) I am a thinker, probably very much like you, and I super-analyze EVERYTHING! I've driven myself crazy about my dress too, but remember that bit of you that made the purchase. You wouldn't've done that if you hated it! Instead of stalling, and thinking yourself out of it more and more each minute, go try it on again! The longer you wait the less chance you'll have to change anyway if you need to! andif you hate it, I'm sure as long as your wedding isn't tomorrow, you can find something ele you love at the salon. BTW- Your dress is totally unique! I think it's very romatic and different! I love it, but you have to--go get it on you! Best of luck
