My friends father was killed last night (LONG)

I don't know if any of you watch the news but a drunk/ DUI driver was being pursued by the police in Farmingdale (out of their jurisdiction mind you through a residential area) and the driver lost control and crashed through his house killing him while he was watching TV in his living room. My friend was downstairs in the basement at the time and he basically watched his father die when he came upstairs. He was pinned under the car from 2:35 pm until around 11:15 pm last night.

He's the drummer from my FI band and he's a very good friend. I feel terrible for him. He's not even allowed back there right now. They evacuated the house because they were afraid it would collapse when they pulled the car out. I'm very nervous for him. He was VERY close with his father and he does not get along with his mother.

Its really a very scary and terrible tragedy. This year has been the WORST year of my entire life and the lives of those around me with the exception of getting engaged.

You all have been so great about support and prayers. I'm asking for them now for Brian and his father's soul. Its a terrible way to die. He was retiring in June.

I posted on the BHB board too but I want to give huge prayers to your friends family. Unfortunately, have to say that I WITNESSED this entire awful event with my own two eyes!!! We were almost part of it!!! It was the absolute scariest thing I have ever seen in my ENTIRE life!!! We were just driving home from house shopping on Rte 109 when all of a sudden this green Pontiac G6 comes FLYING down the left lane (we were in the right lane) trying to outrun the cops and we saw him hit the divider fly over it, into oncoming traffic only to lose control, miss the house on the corner by inches to fly clean into these poor people's house!!!!!!! I couldn't believe it!! The car was COMPLETELY in the house!!!! If he had hit the curb and turned right, he would've hit the car we were in!! It was so crazy! My prayers were with the family at that time - we didn't know if anyone was in the house or if the driver of the G6 was killed or not. The cops were all there and had everything blocked off within 15 minutes. It happened so fast!!! Absolutely UNBELIEVABLE!!!
