My Grandma...

So we had been hopeful since we almost lost her on Valentine's Day, that we'd be able to bring her home. But we just got a phone call saying that she will not be coming home at all. And basically that she'll end up passing away in the hospital. Which, my grandfather does NOT want, but he understands where the hospital is coming from.

It really suxx. Because the past few times I went to see her, it wasn't my Grandma. It was just someone who was staring at me blankly, asking who I was, and where I came from. And it hurts because I'm the oldest, and I'm the closest with her. And her arm is so swollen and puffy, it don't even look real!! It looks like a blow up doll!! I can't stand to see her like that. It breaks my heart...

Keep praying girls, we need it!!

Also, keep praying for Brandi's momma too!! I haven't heard anything, but the last time I called, she was talking and they made her say hi to me!! I keep talking to my Dad up in Heaven, but we need some more favors up there, so talk to your loved ones up there too!!!

Thanks Danielle. We're all trying to hang in there.. We're keeping our hopes up for a miracle. I'm hoping she'll just be her spunky self again! But I know the chances of it, are slim from what she looks like...

Aww your welcome! How old is she? Mine was 85..She was a RIOT!!!!!!!!! She was really bad at the end...and it broke my heart because she was my other mother...Just say prayers...go to church, (if you go) and light a candle...

Tell her its ok...and not to worry! (thats what I did...)

i went through this with my grandmother too.

my prayers for her you and your family! try to stay strong during this time

My grandma is 78, and she's a typical old Italian lady!! spunky!! She don't even talk to us or anyone. She just sits there and stares. I hate it! But thank you!! I think I may just go to the church & light a candle!!

i went through the same thing with my grandmother and i am so sorry that you have to experience it too- she is in my prayers and i will ask Nonna to watch over her for you

In the end, she didn't remember us but I have to share a story that will make you smile. She tapped me on the shoulder and made me lean down to her level. . . she NEVER admitted that she didnt remember stuff, until the end SHE WAS SO STUBBORN. . .but on this day she said 'sometimes i get confused, can you tell me if i am related to that boy over there?' and she was pointing to DH (BF at the time) and i said 'No, Nonna you are not related' and she said 'Oh thank goodness because he is SO cute - it would be a shame to be related to him!'
