my hair vendor CANCELLED!

i am so angry - took the ENTIRE DAY OFF today to go into the city and have another hair trial before my wedding in May. so, i am there sitting with him and he literally goes through everything i want and then looks at me and says, 'ok so i booked someone else on your day - you never booked me - so i can send my assistant'

i told him we booked ON THE SPOT at my last trial - i even called to confirm we were booked. then, when i booked the second trial, i even confirmed with them AGAIN that they were booked for my wedding and they said yes

so, i tell him this one thousand times and he says, 'sorry, miscommunication, i can send my assistant' so i said no thanks and left. as i am walking to my car i get a phone call from him saying that oh, he made a mistake and that the wedding that was booked was MY wedding!

he totally lied to me because when i went in for my trial today, i never told him what my date was - so how did he know that he was 'booked' already? also, i booked the trial under my name and my wedding under my name too - he would have seen the names were the same when i made the trial appointment! so i told him to forget it because i can't rely on him

now i have to find someone else!!!!

Can you post pictures of your first trial? Maybe people can recommend stylists based on the look you are trying to achieve.

Oh my word...I am so sorry that stinks!! But, it is def better to know now than the morning of the wedding! Where are you getting ready? are you willing to go to a salon?

i am getting ready at my parent's house and i wanted someone to come to my house to do my hair since i am having my entire bridal party go to a salon

i am just thankful i figured this out now when i still have time to find someone!

that's the thing - my first hair trial he never really finished! he showed me a bunch of styles and never finished any of them but i really liked what he did and imagined the rest would be great - that's why i went in today so he could give me a finished trial! i am so annoyed!

Stef let me know if you still need someone...I can recommend Michelle from StevenRobert Salon in Great Neck. She is doing my hair for my wedding, and has been cutting/styling my hair for 6 years. Good luck, and I'm so sorry this happened...I think it's better off that you don't have someone so flaky as your day-of person anyway, FWIW.

Good thing you found out now that this person is very unrealiable. Better than finding out on your wedding day!
