My morning trauma...

My morning trauma...

So, I am deathly afraid of birds. Why? I have no idea. Well, I walk into my office this morning knowing I'm going to be the only one in my suite today. I open up my office door and a bird flies out from under my desk. He's whamming into the window trying to get out, shitting everywhere! He divebombs me, gets out into our office suite, continues to **** everywhere. Eventually I got my window open and managed to get him out but I nearly had a panic attack. And there is **** everywhere. Why me??!!

Go ahead in laugh but I may have PTSD from this....

I got pooped on once. And that whole beak/pecking my eyes out thing freaks me out. And the wing flapping noise. Eeekk. I love nature, just not birds!

It was some black bird with a yellow beak. He wasn't tiny. Yuck.

lol it would have freaked me out too. I'm not scared of birds but if one flew out from under my desk I would have definitely had flashbacks of that alfred hitchcock movie. Seeing one in the street is ok but there are just some places birds should not be

I agree! I ran around like a little girl. I didn't scream (loudly) or cry but holy crap. And then all the poop...ugh, what a morning!

OMG that's nuts!!! At least you're okay. Personally I love birds....I have 15 of them so random flapping, beaing pooped on, being pecked at and lots'o'noise is part of my everyday life....lol.

....But I must admit if an unknown bird flapped out from under my desk randomly one day I'd definetly be freaked....

Just think happy thoughts!!

....And since no one is in your office today maybe a nice BIG drink will do you some good. lol

You are a brave woman!!!

Perhaps a BIG drink would be beneficial...the Dean of my department laughed and told me to put in for workman's comp. due to PTSD and go home! I should try that....

How did the bird get in? Did someone have a window open? Do you work in a wooded area?

That is the mystery. No one's windows were open when we left. I'm guessing the cleaning staff left the windows open while cleaning and then shut it not realizing. We may never know...

Maybe someone is out to get me!!!

Awwwwww no dont think that. Trust me its a sign of good luck. Last year in August my FH found a bird right outside of his gate, a parrot, he was amazed by it. We were thinking of all the gates in Whitestone this big parrot goes and lands on my his gate, that was a couple of days after our engagement. Things happen for a reason, def good luck
