my nightmares about my dress COME TRUE!!!! UPDATED!!

Ok so after waiting over a year for my dress I started having nightmares that I wouldnt fit in it. Well lastnight was my fitting, and I dont have any pictures and Im so depressed now. MY DRESS DIDN'T FIT. It was to small. I worked so hard and lost weight so I would look beautiful for my FH and for what. I am this fat cow who is to big for a dress i paid 2000 for. Ive been crying ever since I got home last night. Snapping at everyone cause I feel so stupid to think that I could ever look pretty. So here is what the bridal store said. First the women gets the dress on me buttons the top and then tries to zipper me. Then she asks did you gain weight. I was petrified cause i lost 10lbs. So my cousin was like she lost weight so then the women remesurred me and was like well u lost weight but the dress is 3 inches to small W T F how can that be. 3 inches what if i didnt lose weight, so the dress was ordered to small im so depressed she said she will try to let it out but the bead work will have a gap she said she will fill it in but it wont be exactly the same. She said no one will notice but I still want to know how the dress was ordered or made to small for me when they took the messurments.

Has anyone else had to get their dress let out and how did it look. Could you tell. . . . I just want to call the whole wedding off im so fed up with everything going wrong. Oh and they messed up on my veil and slip too. ARGGGG I just want to hide under a rock and cry.

is there enough time to order a new one?
also if the dress shop is doin extra work on the dress for THEIR mistake, make sure they don't charge u for it.

ohhh wow babe ~ so did they order the wrong size? when the dress originally came in did you try it on to make sure it was the right size?

this was one of my fears too ~ when my dress came in i tried it on to make sure it fit and if i lost weight then i did but at least it would fit!

If the bridal store made an error then they should fix the probablem & if you lost 10 pounds how could the dress be 3 inches to small... they ordered the wrong size... hang in there i am sure it will be beautiful! you will probably lose even more weight with this stress!

YOU WILL BE BEAUTIFUL on your wedding day!

The dress came in last week. . . so There isnt enough time to order a new one. . . . and the store said it wasnt their mistake and the company who made it said it wasnt theres. . . i dunno ive never been this depressed I should be happy and im here at work in tears.

So, are you saying they ordered the wrong size dress? Did they order according to the measurements they took?

If you asked for a certain size, and they ordered a different size, or if the designer cut the dress wrong, they need to make you a new dress. It's what you paid for.

Sorry, my computer is lagging. Everyone can deny wrongdoing, but if your measurement is X, and the chart says measurement X is size Y, and that's the size you have, then the dress was cut wrong. They need to measure the dress to find out, not measure you.

I'm so sorry this happened to you Don't be so down on yourself, this is not your fault and you are not a fat cow! There was some error along the way, but it has nothing to do with you.

You will be beautiful on your wedding day, I'm sure of it!!!!!

I had a bridal shop order the wrong size dress for me when I was a BM in my brother's wedding, it was so small that they had to order fabric and sew in panels, I was pretty upset and embarrased, but it was the dress shops fault I hadn't gained weight or anything. In the end the dress looked fine and no one noticed.

I'm sure everything will work out perfectly!!!

i have no idea what happened. . . according to what i messured they ordered the right size, but the company said that the size is right. ARGHHHHHHHH Just shoot me. I went for my fitting yesterday feeling great i lost weight and i felt good, and then it didnt fit and everything just fell apart i want to hide from the world. Why do i feel like this.

Seriously, I would take issue with the designer. They're saying it's the right cut, but you and the woman in the shop have the dress and know differently. You may not get a new dress this late, but they might be able to make some kind of accommodation.

Im so sorry that happened to you...I would be upset too but one thing is for sure you are TOTALLY going to look beautiful on your wedding day! NO MATTER WHAT

I am so sorry for this!! Ask them to see the measurements they used to order your dress....obviously someone measured wrong! The idea is usually that dresses run 2 sizes smaller then your normal clothes!

Personally I would rip them apart and make sure all alterations are done for free! Whoever measured you aparently didn't look @ the designers measurement guide, as all dresses are cut differently and each designer has a guide to go by for ordering dresses.

Ask for a copy of your orginal measurements and have a second measurement from somewhere else along with you (any taylor can do this)...

Take a deep breath...you are gonna have a panic attack!

I have a fabulous taylor who is adding four inches to my MOH top of her dress... It is beaded and layered with 3 different fabrics and she says no problem...if you want to take your dress to her, maybe she can help!

They obviously didn't check the manufactors guide then! Now you have me nervous cause I'm the same size and they ordered me a 14!

But different designers, different cuts... Do you have proof that you lost weight?? Have you been to the gyno or any doctor that weighed you in the last year?? I would bring that to them too!
