I was waiting to tell you guys that i got the little dog tux that i ordereddd but my dog didnt make it Ive never been one to share much about my feelings to people let alone people i barely know but you guys are so welcoming and helpful. I feel like my heart has been ripped out and stepped on. I realized that I was able to deal with my gmas death because i had him and when i came home from work everyday i would drag him around wherever i went --- whether he wanted to or not --- He was such a hairy little monster. Im going to miss him so much. He had diabetes and would wake up in the middle of the night and bark to go outside to pee and i was the only one to hear him and last night i woke up at 440 because i heard him. That killed me =( ... If my mom or FH tell me hes in a better place or hes not in pain anymore im going to smack them.. i know all this im not stupid i never wanted him to be in pain or sick but there just innocent little animals they shouldnt have to deal with illness. I want my dog back plain and simple !! Im attaching a pic of the little guy. When we got him 13 yrs ago i never would have/could have imagined how much a part of the family he would become. Im sure you all know.

So sorry about your dog. They definitely do become family members and unfortunately they don't have the life span of humans or other animals. I love both of my dogs so much and I know I'll be crushed when it's their time to go...

i am so sorry about your loss. losing a pet is like losing a family member, but I think worse. I went through this five years ago and I kow exactly how you feel. When my dog passed my sister in law gave me the follwing poem. It really helped me. Here it is. 'Rainbow Bridge'
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. i am so sorry for your loss this post just put tears in my eyes. i lost my doggie too last year and it's so hard, even til now i get sad thinking about it. but it's true though, they are in a better place. i'm so sorry
Your post brought tears to my eyes. I'm sooo sorry for your loss. I too have a doggie who is 12 and the love of my life, and dread the day she will no longer be here. I'm soo sorry :(

OMG!! im sooo sorry!! pets are our family!! they grow with us...awww my friend is an animal lover and she had her cat cremated....i can give you the info if you are interested...she keeps her at home just in case they ever move etc...
he is in a better place, no more pain. he is an angel now!

I know exactly how you feel. I lost my rabbit (my bunny) and he was my baby for almost 8 years. Nothing anyone of us can say will make you feel the pain less but at least be proud that you gave him a good life unlike other less fortunate pets.

I'm so sorry. I had to put my baby to sleep 1 1/2 years ago and I still miss her. She was 12 and was like my child. It's so hard when you lose an animal because they become family to you. Stay strong

I'm so sorry for the loss of your dog. I can't even imagine how hard it is! We have a 1 year old cat that is my baby and I couldn't even imagine lossing him. I know it sounds so cheesy, but with time your heart will heal.
