I'll tell you the background, my 23 year old sister (my only sister/MOH) is VERY irresponsible and has had a lot of issues acting out over the past few years and is very immature. She hasn't ever offered to help, didn't help plan the shower and also didn't help with the bachelorette party plans. I've spoken to her about it several times now.
The bridesmaid dresses came in a couple months ago and I was very particular about how the dresses were to be altered because I wanted them all the same length. I wanted them all hemmed 1 inch below the knee, no shorter, so they would all be the same length and this is what I felt was appropriate for church. I warned my sister several times because I know she likes her skirts to be short. Anyway, I told her several times and also texted her right before she went to her fitting and low and behold, she told the seamstress to hem the dress 2 inches above the knee and now they cant let it out. I only found out because I am friendly with the seamstress and my other bridesmaid went for her fitting and the seamstress mentioned it to her. I flipped out on her and I dont know what to do now. I told her I am ready to just kick her out of the bridal party because she hasn't helped at all, and is just completely irresponsible. I dont think there is time to get a new dress either since the wedding is so close. Do you think it will be that noticeable? What should I do?

Yes, I would be totally livid, but I wouldn't kick her out. At the end of the day, she is still your sister and maybe she is just going through an immature phase where she just doesn't listen and does what she pleases?? I wouldn't kick her out though, JMO. I would totally let her know shes wrong and constantly remind her that it is your day not hers

That's so stupid of your sister. What has she said?
I think kicking her out is a bit much ONLY cuz she's your sister. Considering she's the MOH I think it's ok if her dress is a little different then the others. Is it a bit short for church.. umm.. yeah, but if nothing can be done about it at this point it's not worth worrying about it too much.

That was really messed up of her. She knew what you wanted was too immature to just do it. I don;t think you'll be able to order another dress in time but you could call around to stores to see what color their sample is and maybe you'll get lucky. As far as not having her in the ceremony that is totally up to you. I personally wouldn;'t want somoene who obviously doesn't give a crap about my wedding in my bridal party but what makes it tricky is that she is your sister and you may regret it down the road. What do your parents say?

wow!! totally crappy on her part :( I cant believe how inconsiderate that was and I would be mad myself too :( So sorry sweetie. Although I dont think it will be noticeable and if she is the MOH then she will stand out a little which is good since it will set her apart from the other bms.. hopefully that helps.. :)
