Let me preface by saying that my MOH is FH's sister and she's 20 and in college....my Jr. MOH is my cousin and she's 13...one BM is in Manhattan, 2 are 6 hrs away, one is in Boston, one is 5 hrs away and another is 24 hours away....
with all of that said....I emailed them all today to see if any wanted to get their makeup done so I can give my vendor the details. I also said in the email that I think a shower/bachelorette party are no-go's since everyone is spread out.
Well, I'm sort of sad/hurt/annoyed....none of them ever thought to organize or attempt to organize a shower...I got a few emails regarding not having a bachelorette party so maybe that will happen...
our wedding is really small. If we had a shower, it would suck. My family is upstate, FHs is here, and then friends/family ALL over the US...same w/ bachelorette...
I just feel like I can't have the normal bridal stuff due to the distance thing...I know I said it was a no-go but it makes me sad that it won't happen....

I do want a shower...but I know in my head it's too expensive for my friends to travel and I know that no one will come because they have to travel...having it upstate means everyone needs to go to bubmble f*ck for it...having it here means my family will complain about having to come to 'the big city'...it's just too hard...
and i hate that I'm worrying about this...I'm the freakin bride, damnit!!!!!!!!!!!
Ahhh, well, that's my vent of the day...
and you gals don't have to throw me a shower perhaps we can all par-tay the week of my wedding so I am not home stressing out...

Aww hun! I know what you mean with the small wedding thing. Only one of my MOH knows what to do with a wedding.... not married but has helped alot... so im a little confident however... in my family...they dont do things like that and were all from other states... I totally understand. Just dont worry... when you look back at the pictures all you see is smiles and thats all that counts

Let your aunt throw one upstate for your family and any of FHs family that wants to go.
Just let your friends know it's ok if they can't make it.
I have a BM in Pa so thats not too fare t come in fro, but I told my BM in FL that i understand if she cant make it to the e-party and shower.
If they dont have one- we will throw you one. Kristi said it can be at her house..LOL

Maybe they're going to surprise you. I'm in the same boat. My sister/MOH is in her last year of college in NJ, one is in Binghamton, one in DC, another in NJ and only one in Nassau.
