that you indulge yourself with now. Here's my towel story!!! My family was poor. Mom stretched the towels to the limits, giving new meaning to the word, 'washrag'!!!! So, now I have a linen closet filled with beautiful towels!!! Since my DH, ruins washcloths/towels, with the dirt he gathers at work, I buy all white cloths/towels for him, so I can bleach them!!! Sadly, they still don't come clean!!!! Mary MOB

i hope you dont mind me adding... The only thing i was deprived of as a child was name brand things like someone else posted i always wanted LA gears and Nike... i got made fun of in middle school since i didnt wear name brand and had payless instead... when that started happening i was allowed to save and buy my own name brand shoes.

I'm such a loser, I never had a doll house and desperately wanted one, but we had no room...I hope one day to have a daughter and push my obsession on her! :) LMAO!!!

I can't really think of anything that I really wanted for as a child that I didn't have since I grew up in a small town and I was pretty content with what I had. Now, though, living in New York, I constantly see things I was but cannot have, lol!

I pretty much had everything not to sound like a B itch. But I didnt get my tap lessons, instead I had to go for twirling

OMG!!!! I was a twirler too when I was younger!!! We should make up a routine for the shower!

HA!.... here's unique one... Cabage Patch Kids! They were PROHIBITED from my house!! HAHA. Don't know why, and I still dont..my Mom just ALWAYS hated them. My oldest sis, mind you is 15 years older then me, got one when they just came out as a gift, and the poor doll had to sleep in the pump house for the pool!! HAHA. Now that we are all older we looove to mess with my Mom and bring one over ... don't get it. LOL

I wasnt allowed to have a TV in my room, designer stuff, and toys in my room.

Also, since I went to Catholic school my whole life (yes even my college was a Catholic school minus the uniforms) I could never wear what I wanted to school. They even had restrictions on hair and jewelry.

Well then you can join the routine too! I remember doing my first dance to 'Build me up Buttercup' and for our big recital they always had a theme and you twirled alone... I wanted to do 'Proud Mary' and had my routine down and they said the song was too sexy I was like 8, I wouldnt have known sexy if you hit me in the head!
