The funny this is, we went to see our photographer today and as a joke I just asked for that date in 09/08 and he had the date also available and of course my fiancé is its a 'sign', scary I know, but I just don’t want the finish project to look like it has been rushed, because there is no need for it except really for the $$$$.
My cousin got married in 3 months (turns out Crescent Beach Club had an opening at a PHENOMINAL price) - and her wedding was beautiful.
You can do it. And seriously - there will be NO time to stress. It will be the best wedding ever.

Re: Need Advice
i ordered a wedding gown from davids. they said it would come in two months but it came in within a month. So you should have no problem there. Good luck. it is possible. don't forget that if you are ordered invites you may want to start looking into that as well.

Re: Need Advice
My sister ordered a dress from Davids and had it in like 3 weeks. You have nothing to worry about there. Bridesmaid dresses came in super fast too! (or you can check out estelle's for BM dresses, you might find something there and not have to worry about the ordering!)
You can totally plan a wedding in 3 months. I would only be concerned about people having enough notice if you do it on a holiday weekend.
Otherwise, you'll be fine! I say do it. All the pieces will fall into place!

Re: Need Advice
You can do it.
I was in the same situation and booked my wedding 6 months out. (The prices were much better for last minute weddings!) Anyway, we did all our planning in the first 60 days and a few little odds and ends the rest of the time. Actually I want to say we had all our vendors booked in a month and then a few other things here and there. Your biggest concern is dress and hotels (those were my issues at least). We had to get a hotel far from our place but we are providing transportation. Anyway...if you are up for it..go for it! I feel that it was better for me to do it sooner than later...beause I would be so anxious if I had to wait 1-2 years and I would never be able to make a decision on anything!!!!!

Re: Need Advice
Also most stores offer rush shipping (for a fee) but my dress came in about 4 1/2 months with rush. You would need yours sooner but they can figure out if they'll be able to get it or not. But you will need alterations...so you'll have to figure that in too.

Re: Need Advice
Plus you can look at it this way...w/ less time you will have less options, so less decisions to make, which equals less headaches

Re: Need Advice
Hey..I just did it in just under 3 months...it was a little nuts at first, with all the phonecalls, but once you get the hall, you are pretty good to go..plus you will be able to get deals on vendors who haven't filled that date...you can def do it and have the most wonderful day! I promise! I wouldn't have wanted one more day of planning and stress...and you will be on your honeymoon in 3 months and begin your married life...nothing is better than that! Good luck and let me know if you need any help or advice!

Re: Need Advice
It's definitely do-able. start making phone calls....if FH and I had the $$ readily avaiblable we probably would've been married sooner.
Good Luck!

Re: Need Advice
Hey guys, Thanks for all the encouragements, but unfortunately we went to see our church today and they will not allow us to marry without 6 month advance, so the plans are off and I am back on the schedule with 06/09. *****, cause I was really hoping to get it off this year.

Re: Need Advice
I definitely think you can pull it off. I got engaged in Dec and I'm also not picky so I planned my wedding in only a week while i had off from work. I'm still fine tuning stuff here and there but it's only because I have time to kill..LOL..not things that are necessary...
Ebay should be your best friend for mostly all your needs...and You will get a MUCH better deal if you plan it coming up on the hall and most vendors.
