Need Advice ASAP!! *UPDATED WITH A PIC**

So my FG's mom already has a dress that she suggested we can use for the wedding. i honestly dont really care what style dress she uses, as long as its ivory. problem is its white. i know they dont have too much $$ and their other daughter's a jr BM so they will have to shell out for her dress.

is it a big deal that my dress is ivory and hers is white? or should we offer to pay for a new dress?

Here is a pic with me in my dress. Notice my aunt's white shirt- compare the difference between the two colors- it makes my dress look kinda dirty, no?

i really think it depends on the shade of ivory... do u have a pic of the FG dress to put next to ur dress?

I'm having the same problem. My dress is ivory and I'm not sure what color dress the FG is supposed to be. But when I compared the dresses side by side I didnt really notice the difference.

have you seen the dress? can you try an ivory sash to tie the colors in?

idk...

but some FG dresses are cheap (under $50), so if it bothers you just get a cheap dress

I think its really up to you - is it going to bother you and is it worth spending your own money on getting the fg a different dress? Can you look at the fg dress up against your dress to see if the difference is that noticable? I personally think its fine, esp. if she is young, white is very appropriate then! My fgs are wearing pink. . .

ITA- you can get FG dresses for like $40 in burlington or marshalls or jc penney

lol if it makes u feel better.. im not sure what color MY dress is. when we went fg dress shopping 2 days ago, the ppl in the stroes askedme. and im like i duno.. it looks whiet in pix.. not sure. it coudl be ivory?

besides ivory looks white in pix..and thats what you shoudl care about... the day of no1 is going to notice

I don't think it's a big deal - how ivory is your dress? my dress is ivory but it looks more like a diamond white - so I think I am going to get the FGs dresses in white :)

im just worried cuz my dress does look white in pics but if its next to a real white dress, its going to look dirty/dingy (sp?) its really ivory

I have the SAME EXACT PROBLEM.

I have 4 FGs, and I felt bad asking the mom to buy 4 new dresses. She had some dresses from when the girls were FGs in a wedding a couple of years ago and asked me if she could use them, and i said yes.

They're white, my dress is ivory.

I'm letting it go though, b/c they're going to have a colored sash and flowers, I really don't think it will be noticeable at all.

I see what you mean... also remember though your Aunt's shirt is even with your whole torso... your FG is going to be very short next to you so it will look different.

I would see if you could bring the FG dress to whatever store yours is at and comapre them. If it still bothers you get a new one. They are fairly cheap
