my stepmom makes this great beef stew, but it's with a tomato type sauce, not your typical beef stew....she calls it meat in sauce (go figure)

anyone know how to make something like this? I'm sick of regular beef stew

Try using V8 and beef stock. I use V8 and veggie stock for my vegetable stew and it has a great tomato taste.
